First, let me say that I never thought I'd give a car dealership a great rating on a sales transaction. However, on May 24 my wife and I went in to Larry Miller Hyundai to look for a new commuter car. It was one of several stops we had made that day, and we were not in a rush to buy. However, we were immediately impressed by Kenny Pugh, our salesman. He took the time to find out what we were looking for and why, and did not try to up-sell us to a more expensive model than what we were looking at. The test drive was fine, and he was clearly knowledgeable about the products his dealership carries. So we decided to buy. The negotiation process went as expected and, after some haggling that was not excessive, they met our bottom line price. As we were going through the final paperwork process, Kenny appropriately asked us to consider him for our business in the event that we would be looking for a replacement for our other vehicle. On a whim, we asked what they had available that might fit our parameters. He showed us a recent trade-in that we immediately liked a lot. So it turned out that we ended up buying two cars from the dealership that day. And I'd have to say that the sole reason we did so was simply because of the excellence of our salesperson, Kenny Pugh! By the way, in case you are wondering, we had never met him before our encounter that day, nor did we have any other knowledge of him. We had already shopped several other dealerships and had kept looking due to factors related to either the products we were considering or the salespeople we were dealing with. Hopefully that let's you know that this rating is entirely legitimate. Based on our interactions with him, I would have absolutely no qualms about recommending Kenny as a salesperson. He reflected very well on Larry Miller Hyundai! More

Last year I bought my car in Chicago at the Hyundai Dealership. I was searching for a particular car and Peoria did not have the color I wanted. When Peoria called to see if I was still looking for my car, I told them that I had found it and bought it in Chicago. To my surprise, they were very happy for me, that I bought a Hyundai. Not one word of disappointment that I didn't buy it in Peoria. I knew then I would be committed to them for servicing my car. On my yearly checkup at 15000 miles, I had an engine light. Living 65 miles away, I called Peoria and I was serviced immediately. During my service stay, I spoke with the sales department and test drove a car with Dennis Dutton. He was exceptional and informative about different used cars available and helpful in making my decision about buying a car for my teenage son. The Service Department ran a check on the engine and found nothing immediate, so just to make sure, they made the decision to run a full computerized checkup at no charge. The conclusion was that with the new cars today, we are use to topping off our gas tank which can set off an emission engine check light on today's cars. The check light was reset and I haven't had one problem yet. The car is as sound as the day I bought it. All they charged me for was the price of an oil change! I broke down crying as I was trading in my deceased husband's car and they were sympathetic and helpful and offered time alone if and professional.
