Service to reduce car noise My problem since the car was new in April 2017 is road noise especially on city streets where there inspection covers or manhole covers and tar strips My problem since the car was new in April 2017 is road noise especially on city streets where there inspection covers or manhole covers and tar strips. The car is very noisy and if all Edges are like mine, what a poor car selection. I will never buy another Edge but will look elsewhere for a car. Spending that amount of money for a new car should provide a better ride. The first visit to the dealer revealed 40+ pounds of air in the tires instead of the 34 recommended. Perhaps the noise comes from the fact that I have 20" wheels which have low profile tires. Or it's the make of the tire that stiffens the ride and makes for noise. I just got the car back from its first oil change and the noise was looked at. Somebody discovered I had a dust mop in the trunk under the floor man and decided that the cloth mop with a plastic handle must be causing the banging noise. I took the car in hoping for big trouble with the suspension so there would be something to fix but no problem was found. I had received notice that Focus had a recall because of inadvertent door opening. I had experienced that twice in 10 days and thought that the Focus repair might apply to my Edge but all electrical tests proved negative including my remote control that didn't always work. My conclusion is that Ford isn't building better cars and dealerships cannot fix electrical problems unless a machine tells them there is a problem. And, really, can a dust mop laying in the trunk area around the spare bang so loud when hitting tar strips that people in the back seat complain of the noise?? More
Fernando is awesome!! Not a fan of my 2012 Ford Focus. This was My first purchase of a Ford product. I've had nothing but trouble with the transmission in the Focus!!!! NOT A FAN OF THE 2012 FORD. I have almost been hit several times because of the hesitation and shuddering due to the transmission. Feeling helpless I was just amazed that something as simple as a low battery could lock down my steering wheel! I called Berg ford and spoke with my service advisor N I was just amazed that something as simple as a low battery could lock down my steering wheel! I called Berg ford and spoke with my service advisor Niccolett. She sent a tow truck and made sure I was safe and taken care of. Two days later she called to make sure everything was good ! I thank God for my warranty ! Normally a battery isn’t covered, but because of how it shut down my car, they covered it! I’m very happy with the service I received. More
