They were very patient with me as I was there for a few hours being very picky. I ended up in a great car with a great deal. I highly recommend them especially if you work with Travis. More

Ford Motor Company sets the standards by which loaner vehicles are provided when Ford has issued a recall. Berge Ford prides itself in customer satisfaction and providing the best service possible. When issues arise, it is how they are handled with the customer that further shows the level of concern for our customers. We apologize for not exceeding your expectations and welcome the opportunity to rectify any issues.

Mr. Howard, our Berge Ford historical service records indicate your first visit for an overheat concern was on 3-15-05 @ 25,750 miles. During that visit, diagnosis determined the need to replace the cooling fan assembly. Your next visit was 7-11-07 @54,196 miles, during which Berge Ford’s technician could not duplicate the noise you stated the vehicle made (2 years 4 months and 25,446 miles had accrued). The next visit was on 8-15-07 @ 55,338 miles when again the concern was a whining noise for which the fan pump was replaced. There was also a visit on 8-8-07 @ 55,189 miles at which time the technician serviced and flushed the fluid in the fan pump. It was not until 12-3-07 @ 58,468 miles did you state the vehicle overheated again. Inspection at that time and information from Ford Motor Co. in a SSM (Special Service Message) determined the need to replace the hydraulic cooling fan assembly. Your request for FMC to review was done so by the FMC Field Engineer, as were the service procedures performed by Berge Ford. All were found to be in line. However, you wanted the engine and transmission replaced. FMC determined there was no cause for this action. In conclusion, Berge Ford has not serviced your vehicle since 12-4-07. According to documentation available to Berge Ford, your vehicle had exceeded 99,000 miles back in December 2010, which would indicate Berge Ford did not compromise the durability or the life of your vehicle’s engine or transmission. Statements you made indicating you were told not to bring his vehicle back to Berge Ford are false. As is the statement that Berge Ford told other dealers not to service your vehicle.

Berge Ford is blowing smoke! They knew full well that they were just fixing fallout from the overheating problem. They refused to fix the problem, a sticking thermostat. The coolant bottle, fan, and pump all were fallout from overheating numerous times. The fan clutch failed and the pump failed running at 100% day after day trying to keep the engine and transmission cool. I have a number of pictures showing the engine warning lite on, high temp lite on, and temperature gauge pegged. They continued to say they could not duplicate the problem. Since them I have met a number of people that have the same problems I had, fix the fallout and not fix the problem. I have emails from Ford Motor Company stating that Berge Ford is a private business and Ford could not make therm honor a Ford Warranty. That makes the Ford warranty not worth the paper it is printed on. When Berge Ford found out I knew what they were doing and told me not to bring the car back. Two days later trhe car overheated and was towed to Berge Ford. I have published my garage receipts, emails, and pictures in the internet and have received thousands of positive responses. For the past 10 years I have passed out thousands of flyers at car shows and other events. I was in Norman OK for the Mustang 50th Anniversary event where a Ford Motor Company representative tried to make me stop handing out flyers on private property. I passed out flyers at a car show at Berge Ford put on by the Copperstate Mustang Car Club. I still have signs in the back window about Berge Ford. I wish they would take me to court. If I try I would be considered a disgruntled customer but if they did it the media would get involved. It is to bad that a dishonest business can continue to rip people off and nothing can be done about it. The problem with my car was fixed after it was out of warranty by a different Ford Dealership when they replaced the STICKING THERMOSTAT! Lets see someone at Berge Ford explain how I stated for years what the problem was and then it is fixed by another dealership the first time! I am not a crackpot, I am an accomplished mechanic that has restored at St. Louis (37 years of rust) Mustang and turned it into the most award winning car in Arizona. This was a total off the frame restore and the car now looks like new. That proves I know what I am talking about and Berge ford is a ripoff dealership. The Mustang is so good that it has had pictures taken with John Force, Jack Roush, Joe Arpaio, Miss Arizona, Mesa Mayor Scott Smith, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchel, been invited to the Phoenix Christmas Parade, Fiesta Bowl Parade, Newspaper and TV interviews, a scene in a movie, and written up in Modified Mustangs and Fords Magazine. I will continue to pass out flyers and keep the sings in my back window until Berge Ford gets the media attention they deserve.
