Although in the early 1980s I did purchase a used 1978 FJ 40 from American Toyota when the store was located on Wyoming Blvd. I suppose that this makes me a long term customer. I still have the Land Cruiser (in need of restoration) and now I have a new Tundra. My visit on June 2nd was a very pleasant experience. Mr.Godsey Tross was the first to greet us just as we were approaching the entrance to the building. He was immediately in tune with our criteria for seeking a vehicle. At our request, he efficiently guided us through the used inventory then on to the new inventory. His responses to our questions were very informative and he guided us through the selection process and test drive courteously in a helpful rather than a pressured manner. After we made our choice we were still in good hands with Godsey when completing the loan application and reviewing the different purchase options. Ms. Jessica Baca was equally pleasant and efficient in walking us through the finance options, She was able to interject personal interaction that made us comfortable and relieved the stress that comes with making a large financial commitment. At our exit, Mr. Matias y Cordova representing management thanked us for patronizing American Toyota and he had a small appreciation gift for us. He inquired about our experience and about our interaction with Mr. Tross. All in all we had an excellent experience. So, we checked it out and really liked the vehicle. Our Sales Specialist, Shane Smith was excellent and located the perfect vehicle. It was exactly what we were looking for and in our desired price range. The icing on the cake was the dealership offering us the same trade in value as our quote from CarMax. The only negative was the hard sell at closing, by the financial specialist, for additional protection and maintenance services. This was basically GAP insurance and a Service maintenance agreement.
