He deducted that we had done our home work and focused on our specific detailed questions vs trying to give us a sales pitch 3. He was willing to give us specific answers in an email format while others tried to play games with phone conversations 4. Even after the papers were signed, Mack has continued to provide detailed specific answers to our follow up questions relating to our optional add on features Jessie was our finance manager & even though he was obviously very busy, he took the time to help us understand the value of gap insurance, and the corporate service plan. He presnted the options and numbers in a clear concise manner, allowing us to feel comfortable with this signficant financial decision. Both Mack & Jessie listened to what we had to say, our concerns, and plans for how we were going to use this vehicle, and related the benefits of the Ridgeline & associated financing to meet and exceed our needs. I am very angry with the service at the Landmark Honda dealership. Should I forget about purchasing a Honda? Does Honda have a better dealer in Northern Virginia? On Tuesday, October 26, 2010, I called the sales associate of the Landmark Honda Dealership in Virginia at 3:00pm to confirm buying the Honda Pilot EX 4WD in white. I gave the sales associate my word that I would be there in half an hour to purchase the car at the price we discussed over the weekend. He had been working with us for the past two weeks (they needed two weeks to bring in this specific color and model). At 3:20pm, my family and I arrived at the Landmark Honda Dealership. The car was outside, ready to go. The sales associate greeted us happily and indicated that someone else was thinking about buying the same car we wanted. A woman came out, looking at the car saying, “Calm down, I’m just looking.” Our sales associate left for a few minutes, and when he came back, he told us that the other buyer (the husband of the woman) just bought the car a few minutes ago and he can no longer sell us the car. He told us we would have to look for another color or model. We were completely shocked and asked to speak with the sales manager, Charlie “Chuck” Singleton, immediately. I asked him why he sold the car to someone else when I told his associate I would come at 3:30pm. He replied saying,”We do not wait on people, because they do not show up most of the time.” I could not believe that the manager would said something like this and he did not even show a sign of regret or say a word of sorry. They both just stood there and laughed, which was highly unprofessional. The manager should have asked the other sales associate to wait until at least 3:30pm (the time I said I would be there). He should have trusted me because I had been waiting for two weeks now. Also, the sales associate called multiple times in the morning telling me to go purchase the car. If the sales associate knew beforehand that someone else wanted to buy the car, he should have told me earlier or warned me of this. If they needed a deposit to hold the car, then they should have told me about that too. I am very angry with the way that the sales manager, Charlie “Chuck” Singleton, handled the sale. To me, trustworthiness is most important, especially when it comes to doing business. Charlie “Chuck” Singleton not only insulted and fooled us, he betrayed his business. This is really an unacceptable service experience with the Landmark Honda Dealership. Should I continue looking for this car with another Honda dealer or just forget about it? More

In May I brought the vehicle in for a routine oil change and inspection. They tried to tell me my brakes were bad, I needed a complete overhaul of hoses, and the CV boots were bad, among other things for a total of nearly $2,000 in upsell against a $40 oil change. I returned in July because the door locks on the drivers side were not working properly. During the first part of the visit, we established that the above mentioned items from the May visit were not valid. We also agreed that a 90 K service would be in order, although they did not have all of the parts needed to complete the list of items to be worked. (This was to have necessitated a future visit once the ordered parts came in.) Upon completion of the door lock repair and service, I noted several things: The air conditioner filter was not installed - even though it was listed as a to do item; the tires were not rotated per my request and listed on the work order; and the bumper clips were not installed. The final straw was their idea of "disabiling" my alarm system to run diagnostics for an elelctrical problem. Their idea of "disablig" was to yank the alarm system out completely (with no hope of putting it back), and then telling me I had to live with it. After a lenghty conversation with the service writer and the manager, they admitted that they should have been more clear that the plan was to take the alarm system out of the vehicle. When I asked for something in writing to document their offer to give me a furture credit against work done there or to have a new alarm system put in, the best the service manager would do was to credit my bill for about a third of the cost. The sales and financing people who work at Landmark Honda are snakes and liars. They seem friendly, but they take advantage of you at the first opportunity. This website is full of positive reviews that ar are snakes and liars. They seem friendly, but they take advantage of you at the first opportunity. This website is full of positive reviews that are probably fakes. These people grossly under-valued my daughter's trade-in and insisted to her that it was "fair value". Total BS!! She had negotiated a good deal online and got the .9% financing, so the trade-in was their only chance to take advantage of her and they went for it. Then the financing person lied to her face twice, telling her if she didn't take the extended warranty on the spot that she would not have the opportunity to do so later, and then telling her if she purchased the warranty and changed her mind she could cancel and her payment would go back down to the pre-warranty amount. Both lies! After cancelling the warranty, Honda finance said the warranty amount would have to come off at the end of the loan term but that her payment would stay the same. The only positive thing I can say is that when confronted with these lies, the manager agreed to re-do the contract without the warranty so the payment went down to where it should be. More

I recently moved to the area and needed service on my 2005 Accord so I brought it to Landmark Honda. Like most Honda dealerships, the customer service and quality of work were good but the price was a b 2005 Accord so I brought it to Landmark Honda. Like most Honda dealerships, the customer service and quality of work were good but the price was a bit on the high side. But what I find most interesting about this dealer is the number of posts they have on dealerrater.com. As of today they have 166 posts while the next highest is about half that number. Can this be a case of "ballot stuffing?" More
