Out of Town Buyer Treated EXCELLENT We were in the market for a new 4Runner and had contacted dealers in the DFW area and went to one on December 29, 2017. They did not have the model i We were in the market for a new 4Runner and had contacted dealers in the DFW area and went to one on December 29, 2017. They did not have the model in the color with the options desired on their lot but were willing to get one of two cars transferred to them. Unfortunately, both of the cars had options we did not want and certainly were not willing to pay for those options. Bottom line, we were $900 apart on price and we walked away. That night, since I was making a business trip to Little Rock, I checked Steve Landers website and sent an email inquiry on the car they on their lot had to confirm it was there and the specific options on the 4Runner. Saturday morning, within 15 minutes of opening, I received an email with all the details on the 4Runner. 15 minutes later I received a call from Phillip. He was polite, professional and to the point (did not waste my time). We ended up being ~$750 apart on price. Again, Phillip was polite and not pushy when I told him we'd have to pass. With all the people visiting their dealership, our offer was too low that morning and he explained that well. It certainly made since that they might be able to sell the 4Runner that day for more than our offer. That evening, we received a text from Phillip telling us the 4Runner was still available and they would accept my offer. We closed the deal using cell phone and email in 30 minutes. I was quite impressed that with us being out-of-town buyers, Phillip and the dealership made sure the 4Runner was ready (they had to install running boards) the next day they were open, a day ahead of my arrival! They handled the paperwork side of things quite efficiently. Keep in mind, we were out of town, purchased a car for a great price and would not be using them for service, but we were still treated extremely well and their follow up after the sale has been just as professional. This was the best new car purchase experience we've had. No games, no pushy sales tactics and openly transparent. Phillip, Thank you and good luck to you in 2018. More
