Every service visit led to some type of delay or other problem, I constantly had to battle the finance guy to stop changing numbers on the paperwork and still come to find out he didn't put down the 100,000 mile extended warranty I had asked and was charged for, and you can't expect management to get in touch with you when you try to report an issue. Time after time I have had issues there and if it wasn't for the included oil changes then I would not be returning. I have had them try to get me to pay another $100 for an alignment 4 months after getting one and while the car was still perfectly aligned. They lost or broke a wheel stud and tried to blame it on me even though they are the only shop to work on my car. My Uconnect system went haywire causing me to lose my radio, climate control, phone, backup cam, and other safety features and it was going to be weeks before they could see me. The service manager ignores my voicemails despite the fact that I have had a number of legitimate issues since buying the car there. More
Difficult maintenance issue. My 2500 Ram truck has a diesel engine with a history of soot accumulation on the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system. Landers McLarty diesel mechanic My 2500 Ram truck has a diesel engine with a history of soot accumulation on the oxygen sensors in the exhaust system. Landers McLarty diesel mechanic Sam Jahnke has replaced the sensors numerous times and the sensor wiring harness once. I value my truck very highly but I trust Sam Jahnke to understand and repair the truck, and particularly the diesel engine. My Service Advisor, Jim Hartman, is also very knowledgeable of Ram trucks and Ram diesel engines. So I commend and recommend the Landers McLarty Service Department highly. More

Now that is an extra effort I did not expect after 6:00pm. More

Long story short, they had my vehicle a week and a day and did NOTHING! I have an extended warranty, however, they said someone came to inspect the issues with my Jeep and they would not be covered. I was told that my upon inspection, my heater core was not cracked, but clogged and to flush it was not covered. After picking up my vehicle, I had 2 former employees of that service dept look and there was no way they inspected my heater core! When I told the service writer that, he agreed that it had not been inspected correctly! Also, I was told that there was a known problem with a chemical reaction of fluids clogging the heater core & was given info on the fix! If they know that, they should fix it! Do not trust these guys! The worst thing they did was lie to my face! More

I am always very pleased with the quality of the sales staff, as well as the quality and competence of the service department. I will continue to do business with Barney Lopez and Willie White, Anthony Pickett in finance, and Derek Smith in service for as long as I choose to drive the products they sell. It's a very helpful group of guys, and Frank is lucky to have them. More

I showed for my 0830 "drop off" appointment which took over 30 minutes to process in. I was informe by the advisor that truck will be ready by end of the day and if there was any change due to rust and parts order, then she would contact me. Ive called the service desk around 1700 to see if the truck was ready and they coyld not find the advisor so I was informed that advisor would call soon. I waited until padt 1730 and decided to drive to the dealership toake sure they would not close for the day since I needes my truck. Ive called the service department was was again informed that advisor was not at her desk and they would go find her to answer the phone and placed me on hold. I was on hold for over 15 minutes when I pulled in to the service dept. I walked up to the service area, now nearing 1800 closing time. Upon entering the service area, there must have been 6 employees sitting and standing and I walked up to ask to see my service rep and no-one had any idea. I then walked over to the service counter and asked if she was the service counter person Who had me on hold and she replied that she came in after 1630 and had no idea, I'm was still on hold do I had showed her the phone on hold. Within next couple of minutes, the phone was disconnected. Finally, my service rep showed up to tell us that there was no work performed on my truck. When a service manager approached me near the sales managers area, he asked me if I was aware of 24 customer delays from Monday. Overall, this couldn't get any worse. More

The oil change was fairly prompt, but it took one day to get the parts for the warranted/recalled exhaust repair - then another 3 days to get those parts installed. I came back in today strictly for 4 recall repairs (2 electronic and 2 requiring labor). I scheduled an appointment one week in advance for all services to be performed, so it was known what I was coming in for. I arrived 30 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time (9:00 am) and checked my truck in with the service department so that they would be able to get right to work at the scheduled time. Estimating 2 hours worth of work that needed to be done, I waited until lunch to inquire the status of the repair to find out that it had not been started yet. I go to lunch and return to the dealership 2 hours later and find out it will be another 1.5 hrs, at least, until it should be ready. The service was completed at 4:00 pm, which turned my trip into a day long endeavor. I understand that the service center is short staffed for technicians trained in working on EcoDiesels, and I hope that this is something that the dealership is working on - especially considering population of the surrounding area and the ever growing number of EcoDiesels on the road now. It should be pointed out that, from my understanding, when a customer makes an appointment for service, the appointment is strictly for consultation and vehicle check-in. This does not mean/guarantee that work will begin on your vehicle at that time, and you may need to make other arrangements if you were planning on expedited service based on your appointment time. I suggest that a better process be implemented when scheduling (a week or more in advance) known services into a time frame that technicians will be available to complete those services in an efficient, yet effective manner, so that customers who choose to wait on their vehicles are only waiting the estimated duration of the work to be completed - not falling into line to have the services completed. That's why it's called an appointment and not a meeting. DeJuan Lamar was polite and as helpful as he could be, though he is not actually the one performing any of the service on the vehicle. Derek Smith was very professional throughout the entire process and has gone above and beyond to provide a resolution to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding my experience and express gratitude on behalf of the dealership for my business, so that I am now satisfied with my visit to Landers McLarty DCJR. After a bit of research I discovered there was a NHTSA action report number for a defective float that caused the car to stall after fill up. Chrysler had given a lifetime warranty on the fuel tank, due to this defect. The car was towed to Landers McLarty for repair and replacement of the fuel tank. Derek, the service manager, and Dejuan, my service rep. went above and beyond to move my son's car to the top of the list of back ordered fuel tanks, since his car was off road. The communication was great and there were no surprises. It was repaired at no cost, due to the action number, and they helped me arrange a company to deliver the car to my son in Montgomery once finished. It was delivered just in time for him to start his senior year of college. I would highly recommend them to anyone and if I lived in Huntsville, Landers McLarty would definitely be my choice of service providers. More
