I bought a mid mileage car with a add on warranty I explained the things I found wrong with my car and they very politely helped me get those resolved . Took my Jeep to have a recall fixed. I asked to have my brakes inspected because I knew they were close to the end of their life. After the inspection, I was presented with four or five things that the tec brakes inspected because I knew they were close to the end of their life. After the inspection, I was presented with four or five things that the tech thought I should replace. There was no pressure and the price for front brake pads was reasonable. They fixed the recall and replaced my front brakes. I pick up the Jeep and the ABS light turns on. It was just serviced so I’m thinking it will sort itself out. Light turns off a few minutes later. Next day, ABS and traction control lights both turn on but then back off after a few minutes. After a few days of this, the lights come on and stay on. I take the Jeep back to the dealership and explain. They inspect the Jeep and tell me that a front wheel speed sensor is bad. They also say that there is no way they caused it but they could fix it for just under $400. I explain that it’s quite the coincidence that they serviced my front brakes and immediately after, my front wheel speed sensor (which is attached to the brakes) goes bad. They say that they could take a hammer to the sensor and it wouldn’t break but later in the conversation say that occasionally they just go out after hitting a bump in the road. Completely illogical. I bought the $25 sensor from an auto parts store and changed it in my driveway with basic hand tools. More
