I am writing this review after concluding my purchase of a Range Rover Evoque at Herb Chambers in Sudbury. Let me first start with some context. We have bought a number of luxury vehicles including BMWs, Ra a Range Rover Evoque at Herb Chambers in Sudbury. Let me first start with some context. We have bought a number of luxury vehicles including BMWs, Range Rovers and Porsches across a number of dealers in the US and internationally. In addition to this context, I recently moved to the US and while my credit score is excellent, I have limited history which could have been a problem financing a vehicle in the US…until I walked into Land Rover of Sudbury! We were moving from NYC to Boston and therefore needed to buy a car. We initially went to a Land Rover in Manhattan who were only interested in taking my deposit. They were not knowledgeable about the car, and when they did get my financing, got it for me at 11% with a requirement of 50% down! They also took over a week to refund my deposit but that is another story for another day. I decided to try and get the Range Rover Evoque in Boston, given it was probably easier to register. I looked up Land Rover in Sudbury and gave them a call – Anthony Carbone picked up. I told him I was about to make the trip from NYC to Boston, but that I needed to finance the car and had limited credit history. He was upfront about the risks but assured me he would do his best to get a good deal. I landed at the dealership on a Saturday at 11am – Anthony and Bobby greeted me, and introduced me to Rusty who would take me through the sales process. Rusty immediately asked me if I wanted to go for a test drive, and we were off for a 6 mile drive around Sudbury. He was quiet, and not pushy letting the car sell itself. He was on point with any questions I had. He then asked me what trim I was interested in, when I said Prestige; he drove 10 minutes away to the back lot to pull out a brand new Prestige (still in its white shipping wrapping). He took off the wrapping but I didn’t like the color. He then asked patiently if I wanted to see anything else. The Evoque on the showroom floor caught my attention and I asked if it was for sale – it was, and we immediately got down to numbers. Rusty provided me with payment plan options and after a bit of back and forth we starting calling the banks. That is where Anthony and his magic came in! He spent a little over an hour calling the banks, keeping all my limitations in mind, and only came out of his office when he had a positive result…and positive it was. He was able to get me a rate of ~2% with a structure very much under a monthly payment I was comfortable with. I agreed, we processed the papers and in a matter of 4 hours I was out the door with the deal done. I asked if I could pick up the car the following week, and knowing it was our 5th year anniversary and a gift for my wife, they dressed up the Evoque with a red bow for collection! Over the week I inundated both Rusty and Anthony with a number of questions and every time they were super quick to respond. This experience has been BY FAR …THE BEST car purchasing experience I have ever experienced. I will only buy Range Rovers while we live in Boston (unless Anthony moves to another brand) because dealing with this dealership was exceptional. Given my limited credit history they were able to put us in a car of our choice with no car sales BS, the industry is known for and plagued with. When we exited the building after the paperwork was complete we were give a full top to bottom explanation on all the functions of the vehicle. They are hands down the best service people I have come across since owning a vehicle. Their mission is to ensure you have a great experience when your Land Rover is serviced, the job is done right the first time, and for the best price. There is a reason we keep coming back to this brand time and time again – his name is Rusty Johnsen. This is the fourth Land Rover we have owned since 2002, and we purchased each from Rusty Johnsen. My wife is an avid fan of this brand and after her most recent mistake purchasing an Infinity JX, we knew we had to see Rusty to see what our options were for getting her out of a almost brand-new car and back into a Land Rover. Needless to say, trading in a new car weeks after buying it is a difficult situation. After contacting Rusty and explaining the situation, Rusty went well above and beyond in finding us the right vehicle and helping us make the trade-in a smooth process and financially a better situation that we could have imagined. Rusty really works with you and for you. We ended up with a pre-owned Range Rover, and my wife could not be happier. Rusty has a lot of patience, is extremely knowledgeable and is precisely the type of salesperson that Herb Chambers should want to represent the Company. He is a terrific ambassador for Land Rover and Herb Chambers. Anyone interested in a Land Rover should ask for Rusty – it will be a very positive experience. My wife and I drive about 20,000 miles a year each, so we have had a lot of cars. In our experience, Rusty Johnsen is easily the best salesperson – and a great guy - and because of Rusty no better dealership than Sudbury Land Rover. Our most recent experiences with the Infinity of Westboro and Porsche of Burlington – both also Herb Cambers dealerships - made us seriously question how those businesses could be owned by the same company Sudbury. The differences in their approach to sales and customer service were striking. Porsche of Burlington sold a car out from under me the very day I arrived to take delivery, and Infinity did not return our calls or e-mails after we explained that my wife was not comfortable in the Infinity JX we purchased from them (in fact, we have yet to see the return of funds for the pre-paid service plan we purchased). Rusty has a unique style that is really genuine and up front. He is passionate about the brand, and extremely knowledgeable. He guides you through the process, makes sure you are comfortable, and engenders the type of respect that ensures you will return the next time around. You feel like you have a friend, not just a salesperson, and I imagine Rusty has a good number of repeat customers. More

I spoke with Pat Higgins, my go to guy for anything service related. In a 10 min phone call I had everything set for them to pick up my truck and drop off a service vehicle. What was truly important about this service call was that we had literally just had a baby and needed the truck picked up at the hospital. Pat took care of everything. And worked around our schedule. It's the little things sometimes that take place that leave a great impression. The quality of the work was great. When I got my truck back it looked brand new.
