Incompetent My experience with Kyle Steele and Land Rover Sudbury has been nothing short of awful. He knew nothing about the cars he was selling. Was unable to answer simple questions such as what model car we were test driving, as well as sound system and other basic things. When sitting at his desk, I asked about a print out of the carfax and some info on the car which he was unable to provide. Instead he wrote the item number and told me to search it online. After this sherade of being less than useful for anything other than repeating his name he passed me off to his colleague who was able to at least provide a bit of salesmanship, but still failed at a follow up or say anything other than "it's got what you want" and then some wives tail about why Land Rover wants to keep a level of class without kids seats or some story to that effect. It was really nice wasting my afternoon with Kyle S. at Land Rover Sudbury. Some of the positive points which I appreciate are how much more professional everyone at competing dealers seemed. Mercedes and Audi immedalty seemed like a dream to work with to the extent I was uncomfortable to be enjoying myself while looking at buying a new car. The real crux of my afternoon was when I left and managed to get more information on land rovers from the Mercedes dealer up the street who had a trade in. I honestly couldn't believe he was able to read a spreadsheet and give me the info I needed without pulling teeth. It was almost like he was doing his job and wasn't inconvenienced by having a customer at his desk. Thank you Kyle S, it's been a pleasure. More

The car was what we wanted and he worked quickly to get everything worked out for us and get the car ready for pick up, even though I showed up much earlier than expected. He was straight forward and honest, no silly tricks or games. The only irritant, and this had nothing to do with Vito, was the car failed inspection because it hadn't been run long enough after the computers were reset, so I have to go back; and whomever detailed the car really whiffed. The pull down area int he back where the cup holder is is COVERED is melted ice cream and chocolate, crumbs and grime. It's gross. But Vito did an excellent job, I'd recommend him. More

My husband and I went in the store on a Sunday afternoon early February with no intention to buy a car, only to look and test drive it because we were My husband and I went in the store on a Sunday afternoon early February with no intention to buy a car, only to look and test drive it because we were still looking for a vehicle to buy for myself. I have test driven a mini, beetle, q3, glk350 and after that day a certified Lr2. Our intention was to buy a new car that would last us a good time. After test driving the lr2 I fell in love with the car! The inside view is great, the car drove smoothly, and the best part was that the car was owned by the dealer as a courtesy car to customers. It was in great shape but dirty in the inside as you would expect being a pre-owned vehicle. By the end of the visit my husband turns to me and asks, "out of the other cars you test drove, which one do you like best?" I responded with a big smile, "this one (lr2), but I loved the inside of the Audi". The Audi was brand new, so obviously had no stains or sign of wear. We sat down with the salesperson, Yan, and started our negotiation. We told him specifically that we would only get the car if it came with brand new tires, a DETAILED cleaning inside and out, and if the crack on the windshield would be fixed, and he and the store manager agreed with our request. Wednesday comes, it's pick up day! We are excited! The car had brand new tires, the crack on the windshield will be fixed in the spring, it's sparkling clean on the outside but NEVER touched on the inside! Shame! I was very upset, having the car shampoo was very important to me and they failed! The stains on the roof was still there, the coffee stains on the seats were still there, the dash board was never wiped down, the "vents" where cold and hot air comes from was still dirty, the inside storage of the front doors were still dirty, the car looked exactly the same as the day we test drove it! We told Yan right away what we saw, and he did too agreed that the car was NOT DETAILED. He asked me to wait 15 minutes so they could clean the car before I leave. I did wait 15 minutes, they wiped my car really fast and handed me the keys. Yan tries to fixes his fault with a 15 minutes wipe down, but I know for fact that a DETAILED service can never be done with that short of time. We take the keys back and leave. At this time, when driving the car home all I could think was, "wow what a horrible customer service". Still bother by the incompetence of both the salesperson and detailed professional, my husband and I emailed the store manage and explained what happened. His name is Ben, and as soon as he gets our email he calls, apologies for what happened, and ask us to drop the car for a full detailed service because he wanted to make it up for us. Very pleased with the call back we agreed to bring the car. We dropped the car for 3 to 4 hours service. Believe or not they still did not detailed my car! The vents were still the same, the front doors storage compartment was still dirty, and the coffee stains on the side of the driver seat was still there. What a waste of time! To top it off, after mentioning again to Yan, that the car was not detailed for the second time, he calls me, the customer a perfectionist! That's unexceptable! He shouldn't have called me that ever because it's my right to expect a job done well! More

When I stopped in, unannounced, for a second visit, he came out immediately to show me a car that I found online. But most of all, when it becomes apparent that none of the cars on the lot were a perfect fit for what I wanted, he worked hard to find a car out of state, to bring it to Sudbury, and it was exactly what I wanted. I had been working with several dealerships and doing a lot of research on my own and Land Rover Sudbury was the dealership that came through for me. In addition, after trading in my old car, when I realized I had left something attached to the car that meant a great deal to me, he found my old car, found the item and offered to mail it back. A dissapointing experience Before my recent experience with Herb Chambers Land Rover Sudbury, I always believed that the Herb Chambers is one of the most trustworthy car dealer Before my recent experience with Herb Chambers Land Rover Sudbury, I always believed that the Herb Chambers is one of the most trustworthy car dealer companies around, but it was not the case. Here is the story: I have found a CPO Land Rover Evoque for $27,000 on Herb Chambers and Land Rover US websites a week ago and contacted them to see whether the vehicle is available or not. They responded right away acknowledging that it is available and we can arrange a test drive. I asked about the price too, to see if it is negotiable or not which they said that it is Haggle-free as Herb chambers always advertise. A day later I contacted them again in order to arrange a test drive for the afternoon. I have sent four emails to their General manger, sales manager and two other sales persons, but they didn’t respond. As it was a bit strange, I decided to check their website to see if the vehicle is sold or not but what I found was shocking. The vehicle was available but they’ve relisted it with a new $32,000 price tag! I sent them another email and asked if it is a mistake or not. Their sale manager responded that it is not, claiming that the price of the car – a three years old used one- has changed because of the market in a single day! As the claim was ridiculous I asked him to escalate the issue to their general manger which he said he did but no response at all. A completely disappointing experience, what they did is just disgusting. I have never saw even a cheap dealer on the market does what they did: Raising the price of a car for $5000 as soon as discovering that the customer is interested to buy it! They just traded Herb Chambers reputation – social capital- for $5000! More
