When I stopped in, unannounced, for a second visit, he came out immediately to show me a car that I found online. But most of all, when it becomes apparent that none of the cars on the lot were a perfect fit for what I wanted, he worked hard to find a car out of state, to bring it to Sudbury, and it was exactly what I wanted. I had been working with several dealerships and doing a lot of research on my own and Land Rover Sudbury was the dealership that came through for me. In addition, after trading in my old car, when I realized I had left something attached to the car that meant a great deal to me, he found my old car, found the item and offered to mail it back. A dissapointing experience Before my recent experience with Herb Chambers Land Rover Sudbury, I always believed that the Herb Chambers is one of the most trustworthy car dealer Before my recent experience with Herb Chambers Land Rover Sudbury, I always believed that the Herb Chambers is one of the most trustworthy car dealer companies around, but it was not the case. Here is the story: I have found a CPO Land Rover Evoque for $27,000 on Herb Chambers and Land Rover US websites a week ago and contacted them to see whether the vehicle is available or not. They responded right away acknowledging that it is available and we can arrange a test drive. I asked about the price too, to see if it is negotiable or not which they said that it is Haggle-free as Herb chambers always advertise. A day later I contacted them again in order to arrange a test drive for the afternoon. I have sent four emails to their General manger, sales manager and two other sales persons, but they didn’t respond. As it was a bit strange, I decided to check their website to see if the vehicle is sold or not but what I found was shocking. The vehicle was available but they’ve relisted it with a new $32,000 price tag! I sent them another email and asked if it is a mistake or not. Their sale manager responded that it is not, claiming that the price of the car – a three years old used one- has changed because of the market in a single day! As the claim was ridiculous I asked him to escalate the issue to their general manger which he said he did but no response at all. A completely disappointing experience, what they did is just disgusting. I have never saw even a cheap dealer on the market does what they did: Raising the price of a car for $5000 as soon as discovering that the customer is interested to buy it! They just traded Herb Chambers reputation – social capital- for $5000! More

Very Disappointing Experience My wife decided to purchase a Land Rover Discovery Sport from Land Rover of Sudbury after visiting the dealership this past winter. The ordering proc My wife decided to purchase a Land Rover Discovery Sport from Land Rover of Sudbury after visiting the dealership this past winter. The ordering process went very smooth. The salesman, Holden, was quite helpful...at first. However, after completing the order, email communication beccame sparse. We were not informed of changes made to the vehicle until the week before it was to be delivered. Holden, apologized, continuously stating how busy he was, which was the same response every time we attempted communication. Finally, a few weeks ago, we were informed that the vehicle was ready. We drove the four hours to the dealership. Upon arrival, Holden was "too busy" to greet us and show us the vehicle. After waiting for approximately 30 minutes, the sales manager asked for the keys to our trade-in so they could evaluate. We were promised that we would receive a fair trade in offer...but this was certainly not the case. After a short time, the sales manager returned stating that since the car was "imported to the US" from Canada, they could only offer less than half of what the trade in value was. Mind you, this was an Audi SUV in great shape with extremely low miles. When we informed them that this was unacceptable, and that Holden had promised us a fair trade, they said that there was nothing that could be done. They offered us $14,000 less than the lowest NADA trade in value for an Audi Q7! The sales manager blamed us for not informing Holden of the details of our trade in to which we provided several emails stating otherwise. We were forced to leave the dealership without the new vehicle which we had waited five months for. Throughout this, Holden stayed in his cubicle, never once coming out to greet us, speak to us or explain the issue. To this day, we still have not received an email of apology. However, as luck would have it, all ended well. Though we were quite upset at our experience with Land Rover of Sudbury, we went to another dealership thirty minutes away. I will not name the dealership as I don't want this to be scene as an advertisement. This dealership, had the same vehicle we had previously ordered (minus an option and different interior color). They offered us $10,000 more than what Land Rover of Sudbury offered for our trade and we purchased the vehicle in a matter of minutes. They even delivered the vehicle to our house, four hours away, two days later and helped us register it. Land Rover of Sudbury refused to do this stating that we could just put our out of state plates on it and register it later. I would reccomend doing your due diligence before purchasing a vehicle at Land Rover of Sudbury. More

He listened to our requests, didn't try and sell us anything more than what we wanted, and was very honest about all questions asked. He clearly has a natural ability to win people over and to make their car purchasing experience very enjoyable Thank you Vito! More

Busy Mom 9 years ago, when I was 8 months pregnant with our first child, we started shopping for SUVs. My husband would tease me about getting a minivan. I rea 9 years ago, when I was 8 months pregnant with our first child, we started shopping for SUVs. My husband would tease me about getting a minivan. I really wanted a Land Rover but he thought that I was nuts due to the cost. I convinced him to visit Land Rover, Peabody as we live on the North Shore. They took us for the test ride on the small fake mountain which was fun. We looked at a couple of used LR3s but I wanted something a little newer. While there, I also learned that Land Rover Peabody would not provide a loaner vehicle during service unless I bought a brand new SUV. Then, I found a few sales demos for sale at the Land Rover Sudbury dealership. I was hesitant due to the distance from Gloucester. However, the low mileage on each vehicle was enticing. From our first visit to the Sudbury dealership, I was blown away by their customer service which was markedly different from the North Shore dealer. We bought one of the sales demos, a silver LR3 that I Loved. Sudbury provided a loaner car during each and every service picking up my car in Gloucester while dropping off the loan. My son spends time at MassGeneral for appointments and sometimes overnight visits. More than once, Land Rover Sudbury has met me right at the hospital to pick up my car for service. With young children, especially one with a health issue, knowing I never have to worry about transportation is just amazing. The LR3 did not have a 3rd row therefore I traded it in at Sudbury for a black LR4 that seats 7. Perfect for carpooling and long trips. I call the service department from time to time with inane questions and I'm always struck by their patience and kindness. I called the service department this morning and told Tom that the coolant is leaking. I know that they are booking appointments weeks in advance right now as I originally had a regular service booked for May 29th. But, Tom said "have the car towed in and we will get it in." Just amazing service. When Tally's Towing picked up my LR4 this morning, I explained why we bought the car all the way in Sudbury rather than locally. He said that he finds the folks working there to be polite and friendly to the tow truck drivers as well. When you are working with the public, you are in the people business. Sometimes folks understand that and sometimes they don't. I am very grateful for the Sudbury Land Rover dealership! More
Easy breezy I was hesitant to take a drive all the way from the South Shore, but the pre-owned 2013 Lexus RX350 looked great in the pictures, and was a great pric I was hesitant to take a drive all the way from the South Shore, but the pre-owned 2013 Lexus RX350 looked great in the pictures, and was a great price for the miles. Very happy we did. We had driven several other cars at multiple dealers. All of which were quite nice, but we couldn't find the "right" one, be it either the price, or the details of the vehicle. This one had it all. Nice comfortable showroom, beautiful Jags and Rovers over which to drool! Matt Phillips took us on a nice route to put the RX through the paces; I'd be remiss to not mention how scenic it was. After driving it, there was no haggling over the vehicle; just a quick point-counter point on the value of our trade, and deal done. Very simple! Matt was very attentive in assisting us through the entire process. When I mentioned that it might be difficult to come back to Sudbury to pick up the vehicle, the response was, We'll bring it to you. That's exactly what happened. Vehicle was delivered to my work, shiny as new, and with a full tank of fuel. What more can you ask? Can't wait to take it to the Cape this weekend! This is my second car in a row from Herb Chambers. I've driven over 50 miles to each dealership, and have been happy I did. More
