Mr. Scholz brought his 2004 Range Rover into our service department to diagnose and repair an issue he was having. After doing so we recommended the repair procedure, and informed him that our policy was to prepay for any special order parts required, which he did. The following day he returned and told us his ex-wife had garnished all of his accounts, and that he was giving his Range Rover to his brother who was not going to fix it. We tried to cancel the order, but were told by Land Rover the parts had already been picked, packed and shipped, so we informed Mr. Scholz we would not be able to refund the money for his special ordered parts. The account of the situation posted on this review site is completely different than what we were told. If Mr. Scholz is going with the review account, we would ask that he return with his vehicle and the documentation from the other “highly rated” service facility and if we find our diagnosis was wrong, we will gladly reimburse him for the special ordered parts he did not need.
