I want to publish an email I sent to Service Director little earlier today. ++ Beginning and end of email deleted ++ I think I missed saying what triggered this email. Here goes: Chloe told me that this is the last time the diagnostics fees will be waived. I have not taken any favors yet by making a noise or writing to you IMO. Why ? here goes: 1. Last time I replaced two tires and not replaced the recommended brake pads or discs. So the diagnostic fees were off set with work done to replace the tires. It was not waived off. I had clarified with the supervisor. Hence, LR Norwood has not done me any favors yet. And neither will I avail the favor(s) that has been promised or in future per my earlier email. I will come in and replace the rotor and pads. That is all. Do not want any foreman to look at it as has been discussed yesterday. 1. (a). If 9K miles is good for wearing out brake rotors without bad driving or misuse - I did not know or understand. I was communicated this was a car for dealer management by Sonny. Whatever that meant. Second, yes - there was no signs of brake damage or noise until March 2024 or 25k miles approx. But I did not drive rashly or in conditions that could have damaged the rotors so badly. I cannot prove this. But then why was the brake pads at 9MM at that point? Does this not lead to conclusion (by me a layperson) that the brake pads were probably replaced before it was sold to me to mask the rotor damage during the 9K mile usage before I bought. This is why I wanted to escalate this. Now, I don’t care and I don’t want to raise this further. I will publish this letter out there for sure today. 2. Second, this goes back to my very first email. Your front office people don’t know how to treat customer or choose not to treat people the way they should be. Specially if someone does not have a Boston accent. I will write about this too in future. Chloe told me specifically that you or LR Norwood will not waive the $200 diagnostic fees “again”. And the tone wasnt something I received well. In fct her tone was very condesending to say the least. Besides, this is not true factually. You all have not waived it ever yet. 3. The below email still stands. I am NOT going to utilize the detailing worth $250 or waive the diagnostic charges. I do NOT need any favors. 4. Finally, I will get out owning this car once my financing breaks even with the residual value of the car. Today it does not make sense to change the car now and I cannot be emotional about several thousands of dollars. Now, my emotions have subsided and I read your email again - I recognize that I did not explain myself comprehensively. Sorry about this. Please don’t bother responding to this. 2022 Discovery Sport (bought 3/2023 with 8K miles on odometer). By the time the car completed 25K miles (3/2024), it requires brake disc replacement. Sean H, Svc Director agreed for a review with Foreman and agreed garciously if I did not decide to change the brakes then he will waive off the $200 fees for review. Now, the staff handling my booking tells me that this is the last time this will be done. Well, I have not availabled any favors and I do not understand why my driving (I cannot tangibly prove that I do not drive rough or do drag racing) 15K miles (approx) can cause the brake disc to be replaced. I have read about LR service and quality. This is yet another data point from my point of view. FYI. No favors expected from the dealer now or ever for this review, but I want this out there. More
