Worst buying experience ever This was by far the worst car buying experience of my life. It’s so unfortunate to have this kind of experience with a brand like Land Rover. The GM D This was by far the worst car buying experience of my life. It’s so unfortunate to have this kind of experience with a brand like Land Rover. The GM David is unresponsive and doesn’t care about the quality of service the dealership has. I had to sign finance papers three times because of mistakes. Countless hours wasted and Land Rover San Diego should be ashamed of themselves. I hope to never set foot in that dealership again. I will travel to Carlsbad to avoid this dealership. More

One of the sales reps Paul Coy came up to me right away to see how he could help. I told him that I am just looking. Most sales people tend to move on after they hear "just looking." Paul on the other hand walked me around the lot and educated me on the different features of each car. After spending some time with Paul, I quickly realized his ethics, knowledge on the cars and ability to connect with individuals was above most! I highly recommend asking for Paul when looking to buy a vehicle. More

CPO vehicle sold at minimum safe tires, brakes, rotors I converted from Escalade to Range Rover - believing that I would be getting equal or better SUV quality and features with luxury brand customer servi I converted from Escalade to Range Rover - believing that I would be getting equal or better SUV quality and features with luxury brand customer service and hopeful to become a brand loyalist. The marketing and product placement for these vehicles is convincing. The reality in my experience is sadly disappointing. I now tell anyone I know who owns a Land Rover to service it at another dealer and anyone considering the mistake of a purchase from this dealer to consider a different dealership or brand of vehicle altogether. My purchase was a Certified PreOwned Range Rover. I found out shortly afterwards that it was sold with tires that were only 1/32 within minimum CPO specifications and that the Land Rover San Diego service department themselves had recommended replacement. It was sold with brake pads that were reportedly within standard at time of sale and then 6,000 miles later in need of replacement (despite the dealership claiming that their pads are typically good for 25,000 miles). The front brake rotors were also apparently a hair within minimum specification. Buyer beware with Land Rover San Diego, apparently. I didn't think to take a CPO vehicle from a brand like Land Rover out to an independent mechanic to review for this type of shenanigan. Facing several thousand dollars in repairs and still optimistic, I contacted both dealership and corporate with the suggestion of different ways we might mutually contribute toward resolution of the issues and move forward in a positive light. Unfortunately, Land Rover corporate told me that the case was reviewed and that Land Rover San Diego's process is acceptable and that any dissatisfaction would have to be addressed with the independently owned and operated dealership. Land Rover San Diego Service, Sales, GSM, and Director of Operations have all sidestepped the issue. It appears that perhaps dealer staff, ownership, and corporate are OK doing business this way. Stay away from Land Rover SD and especially Michael Brand This man is a classic bait-and-switch salesman. He lures customers into the dealership w/ false promise's. Once your there the man trips on himself with lie after lie. The typical "I can get you a ton of money for your trade-in. Just come into the dealership" , "Trust me, the contract is right. Just sign and drive.""This is the lowest interest rate you will get anywhere." "I can get you to your ideal monthly payment without raising the price of the car." ugh ... I had to call a friend to call me back and acted like there was an emergency just so could get away. Stay away from Land Rover SD and especially Michael Brand. More
Creditably is important! But apparently not to them.. I brought my 2014 Range Rover Evoque in to have some work done on the wheels.. I have the bumper to bumper cosmetic insurance that I purchased when I I brought my 2014 Range Rover Evoque in to have some work done on the wheels.. I have the bumper to bumper cosmetic insurance that I purchased when I bought the car. The wheel had a ding on it when I bought it and I had 2 others that needed to be repaired.. That service was provided . No issues with that.. I asked them to top off my fluids when they do the Land Rover Safety check that they do on all cars before they leave their shop.. Check the tires , brake Etc.. To ensure the car is safe.. I picked up my car and the paperwork was signed off as if done.. On my way home my windshield washer fluid light is still on.. I call the dealer.." Well I guess that wasn't actually done was his response.. That is an issue if that was not done and signed off as completed. What else was not done on this Land Rover Super Safety Check ? The service person apologized and said I could bring it back the 30 + miles.. Yes I could .. Not the point? It was not till I filled out the survey that it became an issue to them.. They called offered to send a car get my car and fix it.. I have called them at least 7 times no response.. The washer fluid is an easy fix.. The lies about completing something as simple as washer fluid could be a reflection of the more serious work that is only a visual inspection not being done.. Plus with the tires and brakes there are no lights to proof wheter they were inspected or not.... I wanted them to resolve this But neither the service manager or service person stood by their words. So Land Rover USA is now involved.. To make matters even more questionable my insurance sent them a check to get some body work done .While they do not do body work there the original plan before I left the dealership was for me to bring the car back the following week after the cosmetic wheel work and they would arrange the work to be done.. They have all the paperwork and the $....This all stArted on Jan 25,2016.. Above and Beyond.. Not really.. I really Love my car.. It makes it hard to deal with such unprofessional behavior when my car is awesome and deserves to be treated as such.. Especially by the professionals who choose to service them.. More
