I am very disappointed at the lack of a courteous service and professional response from a sales manager despite the salesperson Jonathan Hubbard being very professional and respectful. We did not agree on a and professional response from a sales manager despite the salesperson Jonathan Hubbard being very professional and respectful. We did not agree on a deal for a 2023 Defender due to $1,000.00 difference. Next day, I was interested in the newer 2024 Defender. Subsequently, Jonathan was working on putting a deal together by acquiring the Defender from another dealer with a dealer trade. He even quoted me a price and told me I had to respond timely as he needed to send a driver to acquire the vehicle. Due to different pricing on this one, we were $500 in difference. A short time later, I called Jonathan to finalize the deal, but he told me the management would not honor it anymore. He said he could not do anything and apologized. However, I was persistent the next day and texted him several messages, but he did not respond. I am sure he did not respond because he did not receive the management support to close the deal. This is beyond rudeness and unprofessionalism behavior of a manager, especially considering a very high-end dealer. Further, I would, at least, expect a courteous, mature, and professional call from a manager explaining the reasons and appreciating my prospective business. Last but not least, a decent and professional manager should call a customer personally and thank for the negotiation or offer even though a deal is not reached. If a manager can not even negotiate hard when necessary, why is he collecting collecting paychecks merely being a 'statue'? This is car business and regardless of the brand, negotiation and difficult customers are expected and I am sure Land Rover emphasizes this in their motto and training of its dealers and employees. I felt this was a very cheap, pathetic, and inappropriate response or lack of response as if you are just a small used car dealer given the expensive and luxurious name brand! People have very high expectations when they walk into such type of show rooms. No customer will write a blank check to buy a car in today's market without some level of negotiation. I am beyond disgusted at the Land Rover brand and this dealership for taking a customer for granted! This is absolutely not the "meaningful relationship that enhance the guest experience" as boasted in the dealer's website when their actions or worse than some cheap used car dealers! I would warn future customers to be aware of where and how they do business. Many times in life, all it takes is one simple bad experience to cloud all the good things that may have been done.
