This is the second car I’ve bought from them, both of which they have charged me ridiculous service fees for when they have not been able to fix either. My car has been throwing a check engine light on a which they have charged me ridiculous service fees for when they have not been able to fix either. My car has been throwing a check engine light on and stalling everytime the auto stop turns on, and completely lost power when it was put into park. I brought it to them and they told me there was nothing wrong with it, and that I owed $170 for diagnosis fees. I called the GM and complained, in which he told me he would talk to service. Shortly after that I get a call back and they had double checked the battery and retested it and it failed. The battery is less than a year old, I had my old mechanic test it after leaving the dealership and the battery is completely fine. More
They kept there promises. I had a great experience at first with Lakeside Chevrolet. I was having serious issues with my car to the point where it wasn't safe to drive to the dealership for repairs. Abbey was super helpfu Chevrolet. I was having serious issues with my car to the point where it wasn't safe to drive to the dealership for repairs. Abbey was super helpful in coordinating a tow truck to pick up my vehicle while I was at work so I didn't have to worry about it which took a lot of stress off my plate. She was even able to negotiate a discount on parts with GM on my behalf. I am very grateful for her help and for going above and beyond that day. However, I am very disappointed in the lack of communication, lack of follow-through, and false promises after that first day. As of today, my car has been at Lakeside Chevrolet for 30 days. I knew the repairs may take a while and parts had to be ordered which takes time, which is completely fine and understandable. But I have had to call to get an update on my car several times because no one has taken the initiative to call me unless I've asked them for call back with an update. Today I called 3 times before anyone, including the operator, picked up the phone. I expressed my frustration with the lack of communication and was transferred to Andy, who I was told is the Sales Manager. I started explaining my situation and felt as if he couldn't get me off the phone fast enough because he didn't seem to want to hear about any problems. Shortly after speaking with him, I finally received a phone call from the service department stating they are "working on it" and would call me with more updates later today. We'll see if I actually get a phone call. Unfortunately I no longer trust your word and am not confident you will call me unless I call you first. Your website states "Lakeside's mission is to provide customers who live or work in Kosciusko County with an enjoyable car-buying experience and dependable service." You lived up to that expectation on Day 1 which I am still grateful for, but I have not experienced "dependable service" from you in the last 29 days. More
