Purchased a new 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 in February 2018. The sales experience was awful. After speaking to the manager, they offered my free oil changes. Later, when I tried to get the free oil changes, I was d sales experience was awful. After speaking to the manager, they offered my free oil changes. Later, when I tried to get the free oil changes, I was denied. After multiple tries, they finally found out they there was a “clerical error” and that I’d never been out into the system for the free oil changes. I left a negative review on Yelp. Right after 36 months elapsed (9 days outside of warranty), it was discovered that my 3rd brake light was leaking when it rained. The service department at Lakeshore told me that it would not be covered even though I was only at 20,000 miles. I had to dispute this with Ram and they sided with me and handled the repairs. However, by that point, my interior was full of mildew and seat tracks were rusted from all of the moisture and I was expected to eat the costs of the collateral damage. I got rid of the truck. I reached out to the GSM at Lakeshore (Chad Manuel) who apologized and told me via emailed to go to Lakeshore Kenner or Slidell and they’d get me into a new truck. I found the truck I wanted at the Kenner Dealership. I reached out, as Mr. Manuel instructed, but his sales team said they couldn’t discuss the offer until I went to the dealership. I drove 60 miles only for them to tell me that the online price was non-negotiable! They couldn’t tell me THAT without wasting my time? Then I go to Lakeshore Slidell, pick out a truck and when the numbers are presented to the sales manager, they tell my salesman that they will not sell me any vehicles because of my negative Yelp review from 3 years prior!! After sending me to TWO dealerships, they won’t sell to me because of an honest review from 3 years ago. For all that, they could have told me that before wasting my time and gas. Worst dealerships I’ve ever dealt with - stay clear of ALL Lakeshore dealerships and their affiliates. More
