My initial visit and review were positive, however, the cost and my follow-up appointment are what have deterred me. I had been referred to VW through my local mechanic, as they do not specialize in VW/Eur cost and my follow-up appointment are what have deterred me. I had been referred to VW through my local mechanic, as they do not specialize in VW/European cars. I was able to get my vehicle in fairly quickly after making the appointment. I had a multitude of problems that I was not sure of and was in need of a reliable car again. The first time I dropped it off, I was fine with waiting as I wanted to be able to discuss what was wrong once the diagnostic test was done. The computer that completed the diagnostics was down at the time, so I was dropped off at Enterprise, by VW, to get a loaner vehicle while I waited a few days for my car, since VW does not provide loaner vehicles. Later that day, I received an email of the few parts that had gone bad in my car. I was surprised at how much the total bill cost but agreed to it as I was in need of my car to be reliable once again. I picked up my car at the end of the week, hopeful that the issues were resolved, but the very next day, my engine light came back on and the other issues occurred again. I reached back out to VW and I brought it in the following week to get another diagnostic test done on my vehicle. Once again, the computer was down, so I left after driving 45 minutes one way to get there. I made a follow-up appointment a few days later to get the diagnostic test done once again. This time, I was given an estimate of an additional 6 thousand dollars worth of work after I had paid 3.7k two weeks prior. During this appointment, I was explaining what my car kept on doing, and what I was being told that needed repaired did not make sense with the issues I was describing. I decided to leave without getting any additional repairs done, as I could not afford to keep spending this kind of money on a used car. Truthfully, I took my vehicle to a different mechanic and was able to get my issues resolved quickly and for a fraction of the cost, as the issue with my car was a wiring harness that had gone bad. My vehicle has not had any issues since getting the wiring harness replaced. I do not like having to leave poor reviews, but this was my honest experience with VW. More
