I actually had an appointm I purchased a 2012 Tiguan from Lakeland Volkswagen this week and had a wonderful experience doing so with this dealership. I actually had an appointment to look at another model in Brandon on the day after I made this purchase. I was very happy to cancel that appointment. Since I had a couple of days before my appointment, I started searching other dealerships in the area and found this model in Lakeland. I knew right away this was the one for me. Next, I engaged the MakeMydeal tool and began communicating with Jared. A first for me, but found it to be very user friendly and useful. This is only the second car I have purchased as a sole owner, so I was very nervous to even attempt. I arrived at the dealership unannounced and was very well taken care of by our salesman Trey and finance manager Larry. I had challenging circumstances, low down payment and my trade had over 100K miles. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable, patient, professional and kind. I left with a great car and a great deal. I would definitely recommend Lakeland Volkswagen to provide great cars at great prices in a great atmosphere...no tears! More

Great service for 19 years. I have been going to every incarnation of VW dealer in Lakeland since 1997. My initial experience with Robert G. Waters was outstanding, and Lakeland I have been going to every incarnation of VW dealer in Lakeland since 1997. My initial experience with Robert G. Waters was outstanding, and Lakeland VW is the best since. The service department personnel has been consistent through several owners over the years. Brian, Jonathan, Gary, and head tech, Dan, have been great to me over the years. I have found that people who complain about their service are normally at fault in some way, whether it be a predisposed chip on their shoulder, to lack of maintenance of their car. In my case, a little patience and flexibility has paid off. My service over the years has been completely outstanding. I drive 30K a year plus, so I take care of my car. I also want to talk about my latest purchase from the dealership(3/30/16). I had the HELIX Subwoofer/5 Channel Amp installed in my 2015 Sportwagen. It sounds completely outstanding and was designed for VW. The bass is tight and controlled and the amp makes the stock speakers sound great. The sub fits in the spare wheel well and still leaves room for the spare tire(donut). Dan Yerkes did and outstanding job on the install. Thanks to Jonathan for kind of pushing me into it. This place has a really great atmosphere, and while we were waiting for the paperwork we enjoyed fresh grilled burgers and hotdogs cooked by the owner of the dealership! Needed a tire Had a small nail in my tire, but they said it needed to be replaced. They had to order the the tire and they would call when it came in. So I stopped by to see what the problem was. Again they said they had to order the tire and they would call me the next day. No call back.so I called back.this time they made a mistake and put me through to parts, they said they stock those tires. Why DID THEY LIE. I WAS PAYING. FOR IT. I GUESS ONE TIRE WASN'T WORTH THEIR TIME. MY Car is only 6 months old.2015 JETTA. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANY MONEY THERE AGAIN!!!!!!! More

I guess 3 out of 4 people is not bad Long time shopping and decided to buy a 13 certified Passat problem was there were 2 the same color...Jonathan in the service department helped me fig Long time shopping and decided to buy a 13 certified Passat problem was there were 2 the same color...Jonathan in the service department helped me figure out which one was better suited for me. He then took me to met Jared which was helpful listened to the deal I wanted and off to met Thomas...So far all 3 interactions are above and beyond expectations. We make a handshake deal with very specific parameters. I reminded the aforementioned when I get to the business office I want the deal we have agreed on, no more - no less... Off to the business office where I am hit with a deal that looked nothing like what Thomas, Jared and myself agreed to. Again I had shopped long and hard and my experience to this point was awesome!...The Business manager was condescending about "this is an odd amount to put down". I didn't really understand why it mattered but explained that Jared, Thomas and I have agreed on a deal and that is the deal I want...Then we have to go through him asking if I have health insurance as he tries to sell me gap coverage as a comparison. Then a pushy presentation on extended service to the tune of nearly 4k on a 14k purchase. once I declined and said if I cannot get the deal I shook hands on we have nothing, at which he went (I assume)to meet with Jared and came back an was just rude from that point not event directing us where to go upon completing signing the deal which was still slightly off the deal I agreed to. I will be happy to do business anytime with anyone at Lakeland VW but have no interest in ever dealing with him again. More
