A one word summary says it all "DISHONEST" Went there to purchase a vehicle. Cash in hand. Made an appointment. Got there, it was like, "who are you?" Go wait on the sales floor. I was literally sitting there in disbelief when overheard conversation of sales rep. to customer. Enticements are just that. You will get nothing but a vehicle priced more by that amount, and more. Destination Fees, Document Fees, Dealer Fees, Window Etching Fee, Dealer Fee, Doubletalk Fee. See how far that bonus money goes. I didn't even get into the finance office but could imagine the high pressure. I walked out never to return. I was so pissed off I called Toyota Corporate. The state should shut them down. My husband is an above the knee amputee and needs the hitch and ramp to carry his motorized wheelchair. As a condition of purchase I told the customer service manager, I needed this ramp to be operational. He said he would take care of it . We purchased the Highlander. Made the appointment to get the hitch. Came back for the appointment and I was told they could not do the wiring for the hitch. So Mike the customer service manager set up to go somewhere else to have this done. I went to this other place and they kept calling me for payment. Each time I told them Lakeland Toyota was paying for it. I finally returned back to Lakeland Toyota and spoke with Patrick who again said they would take care of it except that I needed to pay for it up front and they will issue me a check. So that is what I did. I emailed them the receipt ( at their request and now 2 weeks later after daily follow up... they tell me “ the check is in the mail” Do you really believe the check is in the mail? Just another stalling technique! Stay very far away from this dealership! You will not have a good experience! More
