Terrible customer service. Do not service your vehicle here! We verified this info, made an appt a week in advance, drove 45 min to the dealership and sat for 2 HOURS just to be charged. When my husband asked questions the service man snatched our keys and walked away. The store manager was completely unhelpful and would not honor the fact that we were told this would be done for free. More
Lake Norman Hyundai has forced me to write this unfavorable review. I took my Hyundai Elantra there on Thursday October 17th for a diagnostic. They claimed they did a diagnostic and came back stati unfavorable review. I took my Hyundai Elantra there on Thursday October 17th for a diagnostic. They claimed they did a diagnostic and came back stating I needed a fuel injection cleaning, which I had just had done there about 3 weeks earlier. They then stated that I needed a cabin filter, which I had just had replaced a week prior. When informed Macy that those things had been done, she stated let’s not worry about that, you need an alternator and belt. I had had my alternator and starter tested and was told they were fine and I told Macy this, but not knowing I paid to have the alternator and belt done, this was over $1000.00. Two days later on Saturday the 19th my car started once again doing the exact same thing, I called Lake Norman Hyundai and the receptionist stated that she was sending Macy a text means she should be reaching out to me Monday. I waited for her call on Monday and Tuesday, no call either day. I called Wednesday and they scheduled an appointment for me to come in Thursday. I also told them I wanted a copy of the diagnostic report as well as the interpretation and I was told by Macy that they do not keep them, they send them to accounting. At that point I asked is there someone in account I can speak with and Macy called and Jack Cipolla, the assistant service manager, came up and spoke with me. After explaining the situation to him he requested that I bring the car back when I could leave it so they could try and get the car to duplicate Ethel hesitation it was doing when starting. I explained to Jack that I thought it was the fuel pump, as I had spoken with another mechanic and Jack’s response was he did not want to do the fuel pump and charge me. I then asked Jack for a copy of the diagnostic report and interpretation and was told he would have to see if he could call and get a copy. At this point my suspicions of the diagnostic bony being done were really heightened. I took the car back the following Wednesday and they kept my car Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. When I called to check the status of my car I was told we can not get it to duplicate, so I stated I would be coming to pick my car up. I again requested a copy of the diagnostic report and interpretation at that point they finally presented me with one that was not complete. When I went to pick my car up it was parked under trees with about 2 days worth of leaves on it, which let me know that my car had not been touched the entire time it was there. I asked for an estimate for the fuel injection repair and was informed that everyone was about to leave by Jack and I would have to come back to get the estimate. Needless to say I do not and will not be returning. I then called and spoke with Jack and informed him that I wanted a refund because they had not done a diagnostic nor did they fix the problem. They replaced an alternator that did not need replacing and a belt that was not squealing or making any noise. This concertos place on Thursday November 7th and Jack told me he would need to speak with someone else, I think his name was Marques or Martin, I know it began with a “M”. As of today Friday November 8th, I have not heard back from anyone at Lake Norman Hyundai. I guess since I am a female my concerns are not worth them taking care of. I HIGHLY ADVISE YOU DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO LAKE NORMAN HYUNDAI! As they obviously pick and chose which customers they try to satisfy and they obviously think I am an uninformed female! I guess they feel like we have your money and there is nothing you can do about it! LAKE NORMAN HYUNDAI NO LONGER CARES ANOUT ALL OF THEIR CUSTOMERS, THEY NOW ONLY CARE ABOUT SATISFYING AND ENSURING CERTAIN CUSTOMERS ARE COMPLETELY SATISFIED! If you want your car serviced correctly and if you want the work you paid to have done DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO LAKE NORMAN HYUNDAI!! More

Zero communication from service department. My car was towed in to their service on 6 days ago for theft damage repairs. My insurance already inspected and processed the claim at their shop. I've been calling everyday since then to get an update on my car, no update so far, not even an acknowledgement that they have started working on the car. Someone picks up the phone and will ask you to leave message for service department and say that they will call back. No one ever calls back. My service advisor name is Bobby. I have his number too but it is useless. He will never respond to your calls. More
Service department communication is just awful. I had my vehicle there for three months with an engine issue, I always had to call them, they never kept me informed about what was going on. When I finally got my car back it was filthy having sat under a tree with sap for 3 months. Then the car died in 3 miles of driving off the lot, I didnt even get a sorry. I called and left messages with the service manager and the General Manager, no response. Ive had Hyundai vehicles for almost 20 years. Im not going to buy another brand, so I dont have to deal with this dealership anymore... More
Returning home from a trip to Florida, our 2011 Sonata was having engine issues. We were towed to Lake Norman Hyundai. It was AFTER HOURS and a young gentleman came out to greet us to see how he could he was having engine issues. We were towed to Lake Norman Hyundai. It was AFTER HOURS and a young gentleman came out to greet us to see how he could help. He wrote up repair and told us the service techs would be in at 7:30 a.m. He would have them check out car first thing. At 6:00 a.m. Bobbi the service manager was there looking for our car. He invited us inside to get warm and asked us if we would like breakfast . We had slept in car all night. We soon had bedfast and warmed up. Bobbi visited with us for about 1/2 hour, wow we felt at home and very welcome. The bad news, our car could be fixed, but not today. We had a tight schedule and needed to be back in Ohio the next morning. We decided to buy another car. Jeremy was our salesman. He was awesome too!! We thought, were do you find these wonderfully dedicated employees? Jeremy was very mindful of our time line, and at one point had a couple of other employees helping prep new car so we were able to get on the road. Big Jon, the finance man had all our papers ready, and quickly helped us through that process. While we waiting for service techs to check out our car, I noticed a sign on the dealership window, it was an award for best hyundai dealership in 2022. I have been in the retail sector, customer service for over 44 years. We soon realized why they we given this award!!! Great experience!! We purchased a Sante Fe XRT. What a joy to drive. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond our expectations!! Thanks to all, and have a very Merry Christmas!! More

I was able to get my car looked at today at LKN Hyundai and they were very helpful. Other dealerships told be at least 2 weeks till i could just get them to look at it.
