I had quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership on 8/13/12. I visited 6 other dealers in the Huntersville area and all of them were professional and courteous except LKN Hyundai. We at a dealership on 8/13/12. We were "helped" by Glen, who was your stereotypical used car salesman - pushy, aggressive, and not completely honest. We were looking at one car which he told us had 62K miles on it and then, 5 min later, he said it was still under a 60K mile warranty! He spent the whole time bad mouthing every other car we looked at from other dealers, even when I said I actually liked another car. At the end, I told him I had to go pick up my son from camp, but he "only needed 5 more minutes" to get me the "deal I wanted" (I had already told him I wasn't buying anything that day). He came back with literally the highest number I told him I would spend on any car and then seemed surprised when I didn't jump on this "deal of a lifetime". After all this the worst part came. I told him his attitude was starting to make me mad and he actually said "If I wasn't pressuring you I wouldn't be doing my job" and then started right back in on me! At this point I walked out and told the Glen and internet manager to never call me. I would never buy anything from this dealer and will tell everyone I know to drive as far as it takes to buy a Hyundai from anyone else. They would have to pay me to take a car from LKN Hyundai. More

Ray had the car transferred to Lake Norman Hyundai, called me to let me know it was available and I went there immediately to pick it up. All our paperwork had been on my first visit, so all I needed was to sign/date the paperwork, and the keys and take my brand new Sonata home! I could have received a kinder sales rep, and my purchase transaction was made easy by everyone I dealt with at the Dealership. Finally, after 12 years in my old car, I got the RED car of my dreams! More
Wish I would have read the reviews on this dealership before I went car shopping. We have been car shopping for a couple of months and had talked to several dealerships before going to Lake Norman Hyunda before I went car shopping. We got a new salesman that had just started with the company's don't place much blame on him as he was new. Though he did sit and watch all that went on. We decided to stop one morning last week to see what they had. We knew we wanted a hatchback and had a couple of colors in mind. They had none and proceeded to show us what they did have. Instead of taking the time to find us what we wanted we were pressure to buy the car they had. After being their for 5 hours and stating we were not ready to buy they continued on. We had our own finance through our bank and offered to come back in 2 days. We requested our keys 3 times and at the last time 2 other sales managers came and talked to us. We ended up working out a deal for a car we did not want. We just wanted to leave and have a break to think it all out and make sure that's what we wanted to do. They then said "Oh it will only be a few more minutes". Three hours later while my son was asleep on their desk they called us into finance. They clearly knew we had pre-approval at a low interest rate and proceeded to run our credit through the ringer at 10 different banks. Do to the fact they claim, they had to do that to make sure we were who we are. That is another lie. What more do you need beyond a photo id and account information for our trade-in. Eight hours later we were allowed to finally leave in a new car which we did not want. I know it's our fault for not putting our foot down but after hearing their bull for 8 hours I feel we were brainwashed into buying the car. I called back the next day and finally told them how I felt after not sleeping and beating myself up about the whole ordeal and they offered me some free oil changes. REALLY!! I will NEVER do any business with them again and will spread my opinion of them to everyone. Find yourself another dealer, one that will listen to what you want and try to get it for you. I have owned many new cars and have never been treated this way by any other dealer. More

I did have a good relationship with the salesman, Frank Greer, and others at the dealership, who did their best to satisfy my needs Not being familiar with the Navigation system, I was having some trouble with it (it had been explained to me when I purchased the car), but with several calls to the dealership, I was told just how several of the systems worked I was also very pleased that I was not asked the routine question that is asked at so many dealerships----"What can we do to get you into this car today"?, because, when purchasing cars or other items, you sometimes need some time to think about it Very good over-all experience More
Inviting and professional are the best words to describe Lake Norman Hyundai. I am a first time owner and I chose this dealership after visiting several in my local area. Lake Norman Hyundai is about 30 miles away from my house but it is worth the trip every time I find the need. Frank Greer is the salesman I worked with in purchasing my Sonata and it was an absolute pleasure from the minute I stepped on the lot to the first time I sat in my new car and drove off the lot. The Service department has gone above and beyond my expectations, even going as far as helping me dispute an unsatisfactory emergency tire repair from a service station in my hometown. Plus, every time I bring my Sonata in for service, the car is returned to me cleaner than I brought it! The environment and staff at Lake Norman Hyundai should serve as an example not only for Hyundai dealerships, but for the dealership industry as a whole. I look forward to many years of business with the folks at LKN Hyundai and appreciate this amazing team that raises the bar for customer service! More

I spoke with Morris who informed me that they were taking appointments 4 days out but when I mentioned we were only in Cornelius for 4 days, he told me to bring the vehicle by so that he could check what was appointments 4 days out but when I mentioned we were only in Cornelius for 4 days, he told me to bring the vehicle by so that he could check what was wrong. I dropped the car off at 4pm and got a call 2 hours later that I needed a new transmission. Long story short, he got me back on the road 2 days later. THAT'S customer service. More

I have purchased 3 Hyundais from Lake Norman Hyundai (2 during 2011). I returned for a repair this past week on my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe which my oldest son is now driving to college in Wilmington. Mr Morris the service manager, met me as my son and I entered their service department. My problems were addressed promptly and courteously - as a matter of fact - they were addressed so well I felt compelled to contact this site about the excellent professional contact we had with him. I am a retired Federal Agent and know what it means to deal with the public. They should be proud of their staff at this facility. My Mains and Mr Furey were most accommodating and simply a pleasure to work with. They knew what to do and how to do it. My vehicle was repaired - and my satisfaction factor was renewed even more through the excellent efforts of their Service Department and their dealership. I wanted to pass this feedback to everyone's attention, along with my sincere thanks for their nothing short of excellent help. More
I was just going to LOOK at cars and was NOT ready to buy. My sales person Steve greeted me and very quickly made me feel very comfortable.
