Returning home from a trip to Florida, our 2011 Sonata was having engine issues. We were towed to Lake Norman Hyundai. It was AFTER HOURS and a young gentleman came out to greet us to see how he could he was having engine issues. We were towed to Lake Norman Hyundai. He wrote up repair and told us the service techs would be in at 7:30 a.m. He would have them check out car first thing. At 6:00 a.m. Bobbi the service manager was there looking for our car. He invited us inside to get warm and asked us if we would like breakfast . We had slept in car all night. We soon had bedfast and warmed up. Bobbi visited with us for about 1/2 hour, wow we felt at home and very welcome. The bad news, our car could be fixed, but not today. We had a tight schedule and needed to be back in Ohio the next morning. We decided to buy another car. Jeremy was our salesman. He was awesome too!! We thought, were do you find these wonderfully dedicated employees? Jeremy was very mindful of our time line, and at one point had a couple of other employees helping prep new car so we were able to get on the road. Big Jon, the finance man had all our papers ready, and quickly helped us through that process. While we waiting for service techs to check out our car, I noticed a sign on the dealership window, it was an award for best hyundai dealership in 2022. I have been in the retail sector, customer service for over 44 years. We soon realized why they we given this award!!! Great experience!! We purchased a Sante Fe XRT. What a joy to drive. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond our expectations!! Thanks to all, and have a very Merry Christmas!! More
Bought new car at Lake Norman Hyundai 8/4. Called 30 days later to check status of my license plate. Told plate not there yet. Almost 2 months later, still no call. Got low balled on my trade in and paid over MSRP in addition to not offered Hyundai Motor Finance so they could make a few more bucks financing with their bank pals up the street. Don't be a sucker like me! Get reapproved and go in with printed trade in quotes from Carmax and KBB. More

I was able to get my car looked at today at LKN Hyundai and they were very helpful. Other dealerships told be at least 2 weeks till i could just get them to look at it. Had a diagnostic done at Meineke and they stated the turbo was out in my son's Veloster. I took his vehicle to this dealership to get a second opinion. I was told after a diagnostic test that the turbo turbo was out in my son's Veloster. I took his vehicle to this dealership to get a second opinion. I was told after a diagnostic test that the turbo was not the problem that is was definitely the intake manifold. I asked Kolby if he was sure and he stated absolutely. He gave me a price and I stated if this will fix it to proceed. Never heard back after a week so I called him and he stated he had good news and bad. Stated the manifold was on but it was not producing boost. Stated now it was the waste gate valve. Stated this would definitely get the problem fixed. Stated the intake was bad though. Right. Didn't hear from him again for almost a week so I call him and he states they replaced the waste gate valve but now it is the turbo. I said I have all my calls incoming and outgoing recorded and he assured me the intake was the issue at first and then the waste gate and now he's stating the turbo was bad which Meineke said was the issue. I told him I wasn't paying for them replacing parts that weren't bad. He then started to say those parts were contributing factors which was not what he stated. Told him I wanted to speak to the service manager and since it was the end of the day he would have him call me the next day. Didn't hear anything from them the next day so I called and asked for Rob who is the service manager. Kolby never told the manager the issues so I explained it to Rob. He stated he would call me back and when he did he stated his mechanic was standing behind his diagnoses and I stated wouldn't you if you made two mistakes? He then had the audacity to ask me if I would meet him halfway with the costs he wanted to originally charge me. I said no and that I wanted to pick my son's car up the next day. My son picked the car up the next day. We took it to S&S Automotive in Newton and they replaced the turbo which was the issue and looked at the old parts from Hyundai they stated were bad and stated these parts were not bad. This dealership had my son's vehicle for almost three weeks and didn't do anything but try and charge me for parts that weren't bad. Everyone there including the service manager are so unprofessional and lack the ability to diagnose a mechanical issue. I wouldn't take anything to them to diagnose or try to repair.
