Service department has proven themselves to be completely incompetent on a number of "repairs" to our truck purchased there in June. We always have to take it back for them to fix what they've broken and/or to have the work completed because they aren't able to remedy it the same day. Today they changed our oil and overfilled it. The cap either blew off or was never put back on and now our engine compartment is full of oil.They have the worst service department I have ever encountered and the manager is full of excuses instead of solutions. The first time they said it was a mechanical defect with the 4x4 system, another time was something with another mechanical piece. The third time, they found it was only a loose harness. That time it was fixed for a few months. It came back so I scheduled it (in advance) to be re-fixed along with getting an oil change. I took time off of work to give up my truck for the day and when I called at nearly 5pm, they hadn't even looked at my car yet! I first off, had an appointment. Second, this is the 4th visit for the same issue. I've purchased four vehicles from them but never again! When I politely discussed my concern with the service advisor, he said they were backed up and then hung up on me. More

I ended up taking the car to a transmission specialist. They told me the vehicle was leaking transmission fluid. He also told me it was likely to be a problem since I bought the vehicle. Buying a car that should have been fixed before they sold it I had purchased a car 2009 Ford Focus from their lot. I had purchased a a brand new 2015 Ford Escape and a couple other vehicles on the same day. Th I had purchased a car 2009 Ford Focus from their lot. I had purchased a a brand new 2015 Ford Escape and a couple other vehicles on the same day. Then the Focus began making noise in the brakes. I took it over to the Mercury lot were my salesman worked. They supposedly did the repairs to the car. Two weeks later and the noise is back and is worse then ever. I then took the car to the 21st Street lot since the other lot said I had to take it were I bought it. They are saying it will cost me for the repairs and that I shouldn't have brought it to them. This is bull, I shouldn't have to run around and try and get a car fixed that should have had everything looked at when I purchased the car. I was told by the salesman that it was just a small noise and will disappear in a day or so if not bring it back. I did just that and now feel they want me to pay for the repairs. I spent 70,000 dollars in two days with this lot. I went back to Ford after being with Toyota for 15 years. Guess that is a big mistake because they never had an issue of making thing correct or backing up the work that they do. More
