Beware of when you sign and not drive! Several opportunities mounted to a negative experience in spite of being nice. 1) we had been to the dealership in early June and didn't find exa Several opportunities mounted to a negative experience in spite of being nice. 1) we had been to the dealership in early June and didn't find exactly what we were looking for. We shared what we were looking for with Chad as well as 3 other KIA dealerships in different counties. Only one was actively assisting us with finding the car we wanted. It was not Ladd Hanford. We searched the websites of KIA dealerships about twice a week to see what was new. The end of July my husband was searching again and found that Ladd Hanford just got a vehicle in that we were looking for. We immediately went over that evening to test drive. Chad shared that they had gotten several of these vehicles in over the last couple of weeks and they were going quick. So basically it was a good thing we were being our own salesperson because even though they were getting used vehicles in regularly, he wasn't interested in reaching out to us to make a sale. Easiest sale he ever made. The salesman that was actively helping us from another dealership didn't get the sale but will definitely be our source of contact with all future Kia's because we will definitely be repeat KIA Sorento buyers. Love the vehicle! He was nice, not pushy but actively searching and keeping me in the loop as each used Sorento came to the dealership. Just didn't want to wait any longer when Ladd Hanford had what I wanted. 2) The dealership was insisted that we sign all the paper work before the month end with the understanding we will most likely get the vehicle on the 1st or 2nd day of the month. We all know why they wanted the paperwork done prior to the end of the month. However, we were not actually able to pick up the vehicle until 6 days after we signed because the dealership didn't push to get the final work done on it to have by the 1st or 2nd. We had to constantly call Chad to find out what was going on even though he would tell us, "I will call as soon as the work is scheduled and as soon as it is finished." We had to call Chad multiple times to hear the same thing and on the 6th day was told it was finished and only because my husband called again. And oh, by the way, it was finished yesterday. When we picked up the vehicle, I spoke to the owner and his response was "oh well, you know we are only talking a few dollars of interest not really a big deal." Apparently it was a big deal to capture the sale closed before the month end on his books. More money in his pocket. Forget the customer. 3) Chad never walked through all the multiple features of the vehicle. Never asked us if we needed a tour of all the features. We did ask some questions and at that point, walked through those specific features but the Sorento EX has so many that we are still trying to figure it all out. I remember the day that salesman wanted to sell a vehicle because it was their bread and butter and they gave that extra customer service. Times have changed. Either they have so much business they could care less or they don't get paid commission. While these attributes are Chad's short comings, the positive is he is a really nice down to earth guy. Not pushy. Everyone was really nice. However, that isn't enough for us to be repeat customer. More
