Labadie does the traditional undercoating scam. The undercoating is applied to new vehicles without telling the customer and a $1500 charge is added to the price. There is no other option. We were making our rounds in Bay City, looking for test drives of specific vehicles. When we walked into this dealership we were immediately greeted by someone who looked up my husband's name and then walk drives of specific vehicles. When we walked into this dealership we were immediately greeted by someone who looked up my husband's name and then walked us across the parking lot to the next building and left us there to wait for "Mike" who we'd never met. Mike greeted us quickly and asked us if he could continue with his current customer and then he'd be right back with us. When he was ready he looked at my husband and said "Okay, if you want to come with me we'll get some keys for the Highlander hybrid." He did not speak to me. I followed and the employees in the manager's office noticed my hovering and waved me in. The manager asked my husband what we wanted to drive and my husband motioned to me. I answered the questions, Mike got the keys and walked us out to our the car _that was parked by the first building_. (The first sales person knew what we were looking for. Why did we need to walk across a parking lot to another building?) It was a bronze trim 2024 Toyota Highlander hybrid. We asked Mike some questions about the vehicle and it's features. Some of them he answered correctly and some of them he didn't. He did offer to check on the things that he didn't know. My husband and I took a test drive and were disappointed about the car. Nevertheless, when we returned to the dealership and parked in the same spot we left a few minutes before, there was no one waiting for us to discuss with. We walked in the building thinking maybe Mike was in there, no. And no one came up to ask us if we needed help. The original sales person that walked us across the parking lot to the other building was sitting at his desk. I walked over to him and set the keys on his desk and said I think that handing us off to Mike was not a good idea. I explained why and he said sorry about that and did his best to be helpful. This isn't the level of service that I expect from a Toyota dealership. It certainly wasn't how we were treated 3 months ago when we dropped in. That guy was FRIENDLY, hungry for a sale. He wasn't there anymore. I wonder if sales and money are coming too easy and they're too big for their britches! Regardless, they lost a customer and potential sale. We'll go elsewhere. Pros: 1. There are more RAVs than you can shake a stick at, 2. The experienced sales person did his best to turn our experience around, but we had seen enough. Cons: 1. Being handed off from a an obviously experienced sales person to a newbie felt very much like a brush off. 2. Speaking directly to my husband instead of both of us was a faux pas I hope is addressed. 3. There were a LOT of salespeople there. We were given the keys to a $45,000 car, yet no one was there to debrief our experience and we had to look around for somebody to return the keys to. This is ridiculous and, in our experience over the last two weeks, not the level of service we have come to expect. More

I had a great experience with this dealership a few years ago when I bought my Toyota Prius. Because I live on the other side of the state, I happened to be visiting some family in the area. I decided to bring the Prius in for an oil change, transmission flush, and rotate the tires. Scheduling the appointment was simple enough, and I felt like they were easy to work with. However the communication with them during and after the service was both frustrating and confusing. I dropped off the vehicle, and then I received a notification that I needed to pre-approve some repairs (just like at any other shop). But it was not clear whether or not these repairs were needing to be repaired before my initial needs were taken care of. When I called to clarify, I was transferred six different times, and no one seemed to know what was going on with my vehicle or have an answer. Eventually the confusion was taken care of, the service was rendered, and I was able to pay for the vehicle. But I honestly was surprised at how difficult this event was. Maybe it was just a bad day, but that's my feedback. More
