Our daughter test drove a 2017 Chevy Trax on Wednesday March 24th 24. Drove very nice asking price was a little above book value but they informed her they had put $4,000 worth of work into car they did reduce price a bit. Brakes and hosing is one of the supposedly jobs done on the car.)She was happy with it so she purchased it. They said they would deliver to her in Mt Pleasant on Friday at noon March 6th. Car was delivered at noon sharp. She immediately went to take it for a ride and the brakes were squealing so bad. She called me and I could hear just how bad they were. By 12:30 she called dealership no answer left a message no return call on Friday. Saturday she drove home to Alpena not realizing there was also no heat now. Once she got home we found that there was no coolant in the car. Filled it up and heat was working. I called Monday to try and get some answers as to why no return call to her and to see why her brakes were squealing when they were not on Wednesday when she test drove and to find out why no coolant in car. Cody is who I spoke to, first question he asked was if she got the extended warranty. No sorry, not one concern that he had just sold my daughter a car with no coolant or brakes that were not squealing on the day she test drove. From that point on that I had said she did not get the extended warranty he was arrogant told me I was not going to tell him what to do when I said this needed to be corrected with my daughter. That the brakes were not squealing like this when she test drove. She had made an appointment with them to come test drive the car. Fluids were filled also when she test drove. So within 48 hours of the test drive and being delivered there was no fluid and the brakes some how became questionable. He was no help at all except to let me know that she could bring it back but she would have to pay to have them looked at. This morning my daughter reached out to him he still had not returned her call and he was arrogant and condescending to her as well. Worst experience ever on any SUV/ Car purchases we have ever had. She does have a 30 day 1,000 mile 50% warranty but this has left us with such a bad taste that how could we even trust that they will do the job asked of them. I hope this will make anyone question if they are at the right dealership for their needs. Hopefully other sales associates don’t act like Cody. He is the bad apple and why this review is being made. They told her it would be a 3 day turn around. 3 WEEKS, WEEKS LATER she still does not have it back. Trying to get someone to call you back is a waste of breath. They called once to say they needed to send the car to Belle Tire to fix something under warranty, Belle Tire fixed the issue and 2 days later, it's still there. Belle Tire kept constant contact, as a reputable business would. They said it looked like Labadies let a child work on the car. Belle fixed things they didn't have to, for free I might add. Labadie is soaking an 83 year old woman for $3400, and now with the way she has been treated and all of this mess we are afraid the car won't be fixed right. SHAME ON YOU LABADIE!!!!! More

My recent experience at Labadie Buick GMC in Bay City was deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale about their subpar mechanical inspection process and deceptive sale deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale about their subpar mechanical inspection process and deceptive sales tactics. My salesperson, Chuck, was friendly and informed me that the Jeep had previously belonged to one of their staff members. Chuck also claimed that certified mechanics had thoroughly inspected it and found no issues. When I asked about the need for new tires, Chuck insisted that it was unnecessary. To prepare for future tire replacements, I requested the tire size, which Chuck provided. I cross-verified the information on Belle Tire's website and, trusting Chuck's expertise, believed that tire replacement wasn't an immediate concern, assuming the provided tire size was accurate. Once my Jeep was delivered, I took it for a quick spin around the block, I immediately noticed trouble with the brakes, nearly resulting in a collision with another vehicle. I decided to have the wheels inspected at a conveniently located Belle Tire near my home. Approximately an hour later, I received a call informing me that the tire size provided by the dealership was incorrect and that my tires were actually a year older than the car. They urgently needed replacement, with each tire's cost escalating from $171 to $291. Additionally, the timeline for replacement changed from non-immediate to immediate, as the tire tread measured only 2/32 of an inch, which is considered illegal to drive in Michigan. Faced with no choice, I authorized the tire replacement. The following day, Belle Tire called once again. They reported that my brakes were completely worn out, with a bent caliper resulting in improper functioning and causing one of the brake pads to wear off entirely. The situation had reached a dangerous metal-on-metal state, rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive. The Belle Tire representative expressed shock, saying, "This vehicle should not have been sold in this condition by the dealership; it's dangerous, even for a test drive." Clearly, Labadie Buick GMC had not conducted a thorough evaluation of the vehicle. It was frustrating to uncover these issues, given my trust in their expertise and expectation of a reliable and fully functional car. Carefully reviewing the purchase contract, I discovered that the listed sales price had been altered, increasing from $23,786 to $24,460. They surreptitiously added $674 to the purchase price, subjecting me to additional taxes on that amount. I acknowledge that I should have been more vigilant and noticed this discrepancy, but with numerous other fees involved, it was challenging to pinpoint at the time. Undisclosed additional costs of this nature felt nothing short of a rip-off. When I confronted Chuck about the inflated price, he attributed it to a "dealership" fee of $930. However, his explanation failed to justify the added fees, further confirming the deceptive and mistreating practices employed by Labadie Buick GMC. The final bill from Belle Tire amounted to $2,329.41. Furthermore, the undisclosed changes to the contract's purchase price resulted in a loss of $714, including tax. Consequently, my total loss due to misplaced trust in Labadie Buick GMC in Bay City amounted to $3,043.41. Overall, my experience at Labadie Buick GMC in Bay City left me immensely dissatisfied. Their inadequate mechanical inspection process led to unexpected repairs and inconveniences shortly after my purchase. The undisclosed additional costs, despite discussing them with Chuck, felt deceitful and unethical. Moreover, Chad, the manager, never responded to my calls or offered any form of apology or reimbursement for the issues or the deceptive behavior of his staff. To prospective buyers considering Labadie Buick GMC, I strongly recommend conducting a thorough inspection with an independent mechanic. More
