This Toyota dealer in my hometown had a recently arrived car in color and trim that I wanted. I visited the salesperson online, Randy, and later in-person, where he showed me the vehicle. He proceeded to tell me that because the car was so popular, there would be absolutely no discount off of MSRP, and in fact, they would add $700 for a useless dealer-installed "pulsing" brake light. I explained that a car selling for $52k should not need additional lights! "It's on all our cars. It's non-negotiable," he said. I walked away and continued to shop elsewhere, where I found dealers with reasonable discounts and no "pulsing lights." More
