Called your service department and was told that it sounded like it was ok to bring it in, so we did. They found that a rock had gotten jammed in the front louvers, which was the source of the problem. They cleaned out the obstruction, washed the car and returned it in about an hour. Everybody was super! More

Most times i feel reviews are slanted and do not paint an accurate picture. This is really different. My wife and I were in the marker for a 2017 Crosstrek. LaFontaine was the fifth dealer that I had contacted and they wanted to sell me a car. Most of the leg work was done via email and texting, as we were going to be traveling almost two hours to purchase this vehicle. I really did not want to spend a great deal of time on a beautiful Saturday afternoon wrangling about a vehicle purchase. After I had secured a purchase price that we both agreed on and a trade in price for my current vehicle, (contingent upon actual inspection when we arrived). When we arrived we were greeted by Jason Fox and introduced to Kevin Crowell. He handed us the keys to the car and we went for a drive while they inspected our trade in. We got back sat down with Kevin, began the paperwork, and he began explaining to us some of the features on the Crosstrek. A few minutes later Adam Germain came and introduced himself and we went to fill out all the necessary paperwork involved. This is when things can become a little dicey. Not this time. All went just as I had hoped it would, and I can honestly say that this is the first time that I ever had a good time at a car dealership. Want to say thanks to everyone involved in this transaction, and I would definitely come back and also recommend others to stop on by. I ain't kidding ya! I actually had a good time buying a car from a new car salesman! Imagine that. More
Great Service Department The work was completed quickly and at a good price. The pull-inside to drop off is nice, especially on a bad weather day. Trusting/Confidence I had concerns about my new 2016 Forester related to safety, a dented door and a back tail light assembly that repeatedly fogged up. My thanks and re I had concerns about my new 2016 Forester related to safety, a dented door and a back tail light assembly that repeatedly fogged up. My thanks and respect to Scott, Dillon, Nick, the technician, parts dept, and anyone else that I may be overlooking, for their effort to make right the issues that I presented to them. See orions "oop's" review. The dented door is as good as new, the back light fogs up less. This professional team demonstrated patience and communicated respectfully. This in turn leads to my having greater confidence and peace of mind regarding a long term business relationship with Lafontaine Subaru. My hat's off to Lafontaine Subaru for a Lafontaine family deal! More

Most poor and Uncomfortable I visited the following dealerships that have no relation to look for a used car: Jaguar of Troy, BMW of Bloomfield Hills, Toyota of Warren, Bank Auto I visited the following dealerships that have no relation to look for a used car: Jaguar of Troy, BMW of Bloomfield Hills, Toyota of Warren, Bank Auto in Wayne, Friendly Honda in Clinton TWP, Sellers Subaru, and LaFontaine Subaru. The worst (and only poor) experience I had as a prospective buyer by MILES AND MILES was at LaFontaine Subaru. Here is why: 1) The sales consultant I dealt with was under-dressed and unprofessional in appearance (including heavy smoking that made me believe the car I test drove was smoked inside of for years) , extremely pushy (with a hint of borderline coercion), and his tone when asking his large number of questions bled poor attitude. 2) It was labeled as "difficult" by the salesman to test drive a 2015 car as I was bombarded with questions for around 30 minutes. Strange, I test drove the same model but instead 2017 and less miles on it at another Subaru dealer WITHIN MINUTES. 3) PRIOR TO TEST DRIVING, the sales consultant forcefully explained that another buyer was ready to purchase the vehicle the following business day. It is more likely than not that this was a tactic to falsely lead me into purchasing the car on the spot, as this person never purchased the vehicle per the salesman a week later. Overall, my experience with LaFontaine Subaru was the most poor and uncomfortable compared to with any other dealers. It is to the point were an average person like myself who rarely provide public feedback must do so in order to: 1) make other propective car buyers aware, and 2) provide feedback so the merchant can make drastic improvements. The merchant may want to let the customer lead at somepoint and to make the customer feel comfortable. More
