This dealership violated me. Car dealing has always been sleazy, but I’m still shocked by this dealership’s complete lack of pride. Incomplete cleaning, old wipers, cleared emissions codes, and a key that fell apart after three turns of the ignition were not what I expected from a dealership. But making me wait hours and then sending me off in a snowstorm with frozen rear brakes demonstrates downright contempt for their customers. Of course, when I returned to their dealership, they replaced the frozen rear brake calipers. They called it a “favor” to me since they legally had to do nothing. I don’t think anyone except LaFontaine calls a used car meeting basic safety standards a “favor.” Do not make my mistake. Do not buy from LaFontaine. Their only cares are money and the barest form of legality. You are worth more than how they will mistreat you, and they certainly do not deserve your money. More

I've gotten cars from Costco, and various dealerships throughout Michigan. But it was the La Fontaine Subaru that made me a lifetime customer. They convinced me that the quality of the service department matters even more than the brand. The real question for this retiree is what kind of service will I receive after the warranty expires? Let me assure you that the service department at La Fontaine of Commerce is exemplary. They've always been honest, clear and courteous whether it's for routine maintenance or repairs. They find the most cost-effective and convenient solutions that keep my 2016 Forester on the road.. So if you intend to buy and keep your car for several years, this should be your go-to car dealership. I will buy all my future vehicles from La Fontaine in Commerce.. Moreover, I recommend them to my family and friends. I do so because of their superlative service department. They stand behind what they sell. How many businesses can claim such a thing these days? More
This is my first Subaru, and I have loved everything about it. I worked with Kobe in August of 2024 to get myself into something that was more reliable for the Michigan winters. He was great to work with, as well as everyone else that helped me during test drives, calling in with questions, etc. I love that Alex scheduled a follow up call with me a few weeks after purchasing my Crosstrek, to answer any questions that I had, or needed help with! Taking it in for service, has been a breeze. Everyone that I have spoken with has been so friendly, helpful, and understanding. They really do treat you like family, and are so friendly!! I can't get over that. It's a personal touch that I haven't experienced at any other dealerships. I also love the inspection video being sent from the technician working on my vehicle so I can see what they're seeing!! That is very cool! 10/10 a happy camper when it comes to LaFontaine Subaru. :) More

Let me say, that it's not my car or even the brand but the service department department at La Fontaine that makes me a lifelong customer at this dealership. They back what they sell. I have owned many cars and never have I ever received such superlative service as I have from the team at La Fontaine. . Please send a special shout-out to the service manager (who had his sweet dog in his office on the day of my visit) he is nothing but kind and understanding. I brought my 2024 jeep grand cherokee in for q oil chnage and tire rotation, even tho they are a subaru dealership they were happy to service my jeep as they said they service all makes and models. Was the technician that worked on my vehicle and he did a wonderful job, taking care in each step of the oil change and even provided a video showing me my brakes, tires and filters and updated me with everything I needed to know about my vehicle. The service writer did a great job and was able to accommodate every need i had! Best dealership experience I've had in a long time! Lafontaine will bet getting all of my future business! More
My 2024 forester was put in service for oil change , tire rotation, and a trailer hitch install. All went well, small hiccup with one tires pressure. All was done in a timely fashion. Against my better judgement, based on the feedback I had received from others about this dealership, I scheduled an appointment to look at my pulsating brakes. After scheduling my appointment, I called a technician in the service department to confirm this was a known issue that subaru would cover. The technician had absolutely no idea what I was talking about, and could not offer any insight. He assured me his service adviser would call me back immediately after being on hold for a while. Two days later I have yet to hear back from anybody. When I called to cancel the appointment, based on no response given, the girl who answered the phone could not have cared less. I will be taking my car to a dealership that actually wants business. More
