Before going to the Shuman Chrysler Jeep dealership in Walled Lake I had worked with a couple of other dealers at the Ann Arbor and Novi locations and didn't have pleasant experiences. When negotiating the price of a Jeep Patriot Latitude, the people I worked with at the Novi location used belittling tactics with phrases such as, "We're trying very hard to explain this to you." and "I'm sorry that you're confused [on how the numbers add up to the final price]." At the Ann Arbor location, I experienced such high pressure sales that I couldn't help but laugh a couple of times at the situation when both the salesman and his manager really tried to get me stay when I was just there for a test drive; they demanded to know why I was leaving and when I would be back. They also informed me that I wouldn't find a better price out there, but I did at the Shuman dealership. Working with the Shuman dealership was great. Everyone was very friendly. The sales person I worked with was Mike Yezak. Negotiating the price of the Jeep Patriot Latitude I purchased was a positive experience. Mike was always professional, always helpful, and never rude or belittling like the other sales people I had worked with previously. I'd definitely recommend Mike and the Shuman dealership to others. I have also taken my 2002 Jeep in for service. the staff were helpful in letting me know what repairs were needed and given a time frame when to have the work done.
