Customer Service - As soon as my request went to Shuman, I was emailed regarding my interest, after which there was a phone call for an appointment. I looked up the exact vehicle in the dealership's online inventory and purchased exactly that on the very same day. All the paperwork required was done efficiently and the sale was made within the day. Friendliness - Excellent, friendly staff, who know how to deal with customers. Kids liked the place, and were kept entertained throughout the paperwork process. Overall Experience - From the initial contact to the purchase, everything was just right. Price - Got a good trade in value, in line with expectations. Price of the vehicle was determined through Costco and Supplier Discount programs. More
I brought my new Chrysler 200 in to Shuman in Walled Lake for Service because several options were not working. The key fob stopped working and would not open or close the doors, so I had to use the key in t for Service because several options were not working. The key fob stopped working and would not open or close the doors, so I had to use the key in the door to manually open the car door. The alarm then went off, so I put the key in the ignition to stop the alarm from sounding. The alarm stopped, but the radio, U-Connect and Car Charger were not working. When I took the key out of the ignition, the alarm sounded indicating it was still in the ignition when I opened the car door. Clearly, the key was not in the ignition, but the dashboard message read "Key in Ignition." I scheduled service and took the car in to the dealer in the morning. Everything was then working again. They kept the car for the day, overnight and into the next day. They called me and said they could not find anything wrong, that there were no error codes, and that it must have just been a glitch. Within a week, the exact same thing happened. I was on my way home, and going to pass the dealership, so I pulled in just before they closed. I told Kyle Gordon the problem, he lifted my hood and checked a connection in a box. It was a loose connection, and he fixed it within 1 minute. So I am happy that Kyle fixed it, however I am not happy that those people that "looked" at my car before were not thorough enough to find this easy to fix problem. It was a waste of my time having to bring the car back twice, an inconvenience of not having the car for so long, and just overall a very poor service job. Also, Chrysler gets charged for these service visits when the car is still under warranty. I'm sure Shuman submitted a bill to Chrysler for this the first time they looked at the car, and they don't deserve to be paid for this. That is part of the reason why our cars cost so much. In this case, Shuman did a diservice to both me and to Chrysler. I will not bring my car back to Shuman for service again. More
I started late finding a Christmas gift for my wife. I wanted to give her a jeep wrangler unlimited with a specific color and options. With only about 10 days 'til Chistmas, Shuman's sales representa wanted to give her a jeep wrangler unlimited with a specific color and options. With only about 10 days 'til Chistmas, Shuman's sales representative, Kevin King, searched probably the entire mid-west to find that vehicle. Then,when I brought my wife to Shuman to "shop around for a vehicle" Kevin King, while dressed in a santa outfit, produced the jeep wrangler christmas present wrapped in a big red bow! A nice touch to finish off the transaction. A nice Christmas present for my wife. It was a good experience. More
We had a very easy car buying experience, which is not always the case. Bryan was able to show us exactly what we were looking for and once we made the decision to buy he had all the paperwork ready for always the case. My husband leased me a Jeep Liberty as a Christmas gift. Two of our children were involved and they all three agreed that Ryan was just as excited about the gift as they were. When my husband took me back to your dealership to sign the paperwork and pay the lease Ryan was so friendly and helpful still. He worked extremely hard to get us a friends and family discount to help my husband stay within his budget and I could not be happier. It is so pleasant to work with someone who obviously loves his job and the product he is selling. He told me about the great features of the vehicle and answered any questions I had. I would definitely seek him out again in the future when leasing or buying a vehicle. Love the Jeep and the experience. Thanks. More
