CPO Inspection & Warranty Fraud BUYER BEWARE. Chrysler and Shuman Jeep of Walled Lake, MI, do NOT back their CPO used vehicle 3 month/3,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. We bough BUYER BEWARE. Chrysler and Shuman Jeep of Walled Lake, MI, do NOT back their CPO used vehicle 3 month/3,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. We bought a CPO used 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee that we found extensive faults with during our own inspection that were supposed to be covered by the “factory backed” CPO warranty, but the selling dealer, Shuman of Walled Lake, MI, would not fix the faults and FCA Customer Care has also refused to inspect or repair the faults per accepted warranty procedures, after 2 months of dragging their feet while letting the warranty come close to expiring. When I informed them that this warranty was supposed to be factory backed they changed their reason for not handling my claims to it being a sales dispute that could solely be resolved with the unwilling dealer. They were not at all concerned with an uninspected used Jeep with major faults: like a tail lamp housing being half-filled with intruding water (an FMVSS 108 violation), a backup lamp being burnt out (and will probably happen again then stop lamps will fail next as water intrusion level increases), power steering fluid being below the minimum level (CPO inspection point #13), engine coolant being at the add level (CPO #78), the oil and filter weren’t changed (CPO #71), the left front brake caliper shows signs of leakage (CPO #68 & 80), the left front and rear shocks/struts both have enough fluid leakage that it exceeds the Technical Service Bulletin issued by Chrysler on this topic (CPO #68 & 90), the left rack and pinion seal is wet with fluid (CPO # 95), no emissions testing documentation was provided (CPO #101), the vehicle was definitely not waxed as water does not bead at all (CPO #119), along with a worn out rear wiper blade (CPO #38) being sold as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle that is supposed to meet the standards of a 125 point inspection detailed and espoused at the time of sale and be covered by a factory backed 3 month/3,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty . Neither of which were done nor honored by the dealer or the manufacturer. So GOOD LUCK future Chrysler/Jeep CPO buyers. More

Leased a new vehicle. I came to Shuman dealership, to have a couple of questions answered about a lease I currently had. The salesman, Alex Diakonis, not only helped we wit I came to Shuman dealership, to have a couple of questions answered about a lease I currently had. The salesman, Alex Diakonis, not only helped we with my questions, but talked to me about a ‘new’ lease, that would benifut me and my situation, at this time. There was no ‘high handed’ pressure, just the available options. Alex was very professional, and at the same time very friendly. I did NOT, feel ‘lease or leave’, like I have at some dealers in the past. I asked questions, and if Alex could not answer them, he brought in another person that could. Well, long story short,I went with a new lease, and am very happy I did. EVERYONE at Shuman, made sure that I was well taken care of, without, the ‘sales pressure’.
