Bought a new Ram! Went to Shuman to test drive a couple of Ram trucks on their lot. The salesman we have dealt with in the past was not working on that particular day Went to Shuman to test drive a couple of Ram trucks on their lot. We felt Jeremy was low-pressure and wanted to truly understand our needs to help us select the right truck. First Time Buyer (2015 Jeep Cherokee) I felt the dealer was neat and clean. On my first visit I was walking around and it had to of been 15 mins before someone asked if I needed help. I am a first time car buyer and had no idea what I was doing. The person who came to my aid was Bill Christy. It was nice not having pressure from a sales person right off the bat though, like when you go to Art Van furniture and as soon as you walk in the door a sales person is right there saying "hey I saw you looking at that couch" and you have to say well of course I was, I would have walked right into it if I hadn't been looking at it. I felt the over experience was good but I knew what I was looking for before I came in. That is the reason I came to the dealer because you had the car on the lot I was looking for. I made it easy on Bill. Bill was fun to work with I felt he got my humor and I got his. My only complaint about him would be you could see his cigarrets in his front pocket. It doesn't matter if you customer is a smoker or non smoker as a professional those should never be in plain site. I felt the pricing was fair but I feel like being a first time buyer or making that big of an investment a couple of things could had been thrown in for free. One we had to ask and make sure the tank was full. My sister bought a jeep a few years ago at a different dealer and when she pulled out of the parking lot the fuel light came on and she had to fill it up her self. If you want to get people back through the first couple of oil changes/tire rotations. Chances are if you do they will continue coming back well after the free ones are done. Finally I asked about the GPS activation a coupe of times and kept getting the answer it was 500 bucks to turn on. I felt once again just a simple thing like this couple have been included or the sales person could have been like year I agree 500 bucks seems like a lot espcially when your phone does it for free, well he kind of did say that. Bill was quite honest. But I felt like but he could have been like let me see if we can get that lowered to somthing more fesible or xxxx let me take it back and just have it turned on. It just a computer and it can't be that complex I am in IT. lol I am not the best negoiator so maybe if I would have just asked about the GPS or Oil Changes he may have thrown those in. But you guys have my number and you are more then welcome to call me. :) The finance department was good too. I felt the rate was a little high with my perfect credit score but I know that is beyond your control. You don't pick the rates. More
