My husband and I purchased a 2015 Chrysler 200. our salesman was Mike Ayres. He was professional and friendly. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. He made sure we understood how the car's control salesman was Mike Ayres. He was professional and friendly. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. He made sure we understood how the car's controls worked before leaving the lot. he was very forthcoming on everything about the car. I have recommended him as a very good person to deal with when buying a car. He answered every question I had. He phoned me to check on how everything was going even after the purchase was final. Thanks, Mike I love my new car! More

Come to find out, it’s an common issue with that particular vehicle. I called into the dealership and explained what was going on and our sales rep “Doug W.” suggested that we bring the vehicle in to be checked out. I was under the impression that the dealership would fix whatever was going on with it, considering that it has not even been a week since our purchase. I brought it up so that the mechanics could see what was wrong and fix it. In passing time, I found out from the LaFontaine mechanic about the dealership’s vehicle extended warranty. That was withheld from us for whatever reason at the time of purchase. I mentioned to Doug W., “I didn’t know you all offered extended warranties”. His response was “my finance manager didn’t come talk to you all about it?” I said no “We only dealt with you the entire purchasing process.” I told him I would be interested in purchasing an extended warranty. After speaking to his finance manager to find out about getting our vehicle repaired, Doug came back to say “the finance manager won’t cover the engine repairs because he said “the car drives”. I then begin to mention to him, this can be a very costly job and I wasn’t looking to spend thousands of dollars to start off fixing a vehicle right away. There was no way we would have remotely known that the vehicle had engine issues since the sales reps were the first to start the vehicle. The engine issue only happens once the car has sat for a long period of time (initial/Cold Starts). The finance/business manager Vedran Karahusic finally approaches the desk aggressively. He asked “What’s the problem with the truck” in a very uninterested tone. I told him what was going on and and he immediately jumps on the defense saying “but you denied the extended warranty” I told him, we were never offered an extended warranty. He wasn’t listening to a word that I said. He was very Antagonistic and condescending about the entire ordeal. Fast forward As soon as Vedran K. leaves, Doug W. mentions “I don’t know what all that was about! I told him that I didn’t offer you guys an extended warranty!” Needless to say, I ended leaving without an extended warranty. They sold me a lemon for thousands of dollars and didn’t take responsibility for it. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, PLEASE PLEASE DON’T BUY FROM LAFONTAINE IN SALINE MI. THEY ARE UNETHICAL, MISLEADING, & SCAMMERS! I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED IN PURCHASING FROM A DEALERSHIP UNTIL NOW. More
So apparently all Chrysler dealerships have horrible service departments. After a terrible experience with suburban in Ann Arbor, I decided to take my van to LaFontaine- and they are just as bad. After service departments. After a terrible experience with suburban in Ann Arbor, I decided to take my van to LaFontaine- and they are just as bad. After my car being there for five hours and me having to call four times for updates, Rob explained to me that he had no idea what was wrong and wouldn’t know any time soon. Also- he did not a have a loaner car I could use, but if I rented a car it might be reimbursed. Problem is- it will only be reimbursed if the repair is under warranty- which of course he can’t tell me because they apparently don’t know how to troubleshoot a van in under five hours. I’m just disgusted at their customer service. I will never be back to this dealership. More
Vic Cox my wife as always was so gracious with our experience at Saline mi La Fontaine. Purchased 2010 Ford 150 pickup and less than two weeks trans went out. Our guy who took care of us said with a j experience at Saline mi La Fontaine. Purchased 2010 Ford 150 pickup and less than two weeks trans went out. Our guy who took care of us said with a junk yard trans it would cost us $3000.00 to repair our vehicle. Now they did pay $2000.00 towards repair, which I appreciate but the reason I write this review is because of the mix communication between our sales person and the service department. We WERE told that the truck would go through a hundred some point inspection along with brakes being replaced. None of these things happened (per service department). Do not buy a used vehicle from these people unless you get everything in writing. Very misleading and two much double talk. Thank you staff for a La Fontaine nightmare!!!! More
Do not shop here. The GM Kristopher Mackinnon is profit driven and will take advantage of you and lie about it. Worst experience ever! Not recommended at all. I will spend years telling every one about how driven and will take advantage of you and lie about it. Worst experience ever! Not recommended at all. I will spend years telling every one about how I was bamboozled there and how Kristopher retaliated by yelling and saying demeaning remarks to a customer speaking out how they screwed em over on a deal and refused to make it right. Shop anywhere else! More
My name is Sue Cox and yesterday i sent a review that wasn't quite nice. In defense of the dealership and our sales person they are paying for over half of the cost of the transmission that needed repair wasn't quite nice. In defense of the dealership and our sales person they are paying for over half of the cost of the transmission that needed repair on the F-150 we purchased less than a month ago. I am ever so grateful for this, the anger that I expressed and disappointment was regarding my husband, he has wanted a truck for years and we are in our 70's. He has seconded guessed himself ever since this happened. Everything around all of us have been stressed, no one to my knowledge could have seen the transmission problem, but it was a heart breaker for us. I do so thank management at Saline LaFontaine for doing the repairs and paying most of the bill. So to cap this off, thanks for the help, it is very much appreciated. Just love my husband to much to see him disappointed. Sorry. Sincerely Sue Cox More

I then left After I responded to a Jeep Survey, the service manger called left a message, I called back and left my cell number, Have not heard from him yet. All I got was just got a Sales Pitch from different person I should have known when I was first there (P) would not answer a phone call from a customer and said he would call him back. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!!!!This place will mislead you DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!!!! This place will mislead you every step of the way. I’ve bought two Jeep’s from this, if mistake going back a year late DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!!!! This place will mislead you every step of the way. I’ve bought two Jeep’s from this, if mistake going back a year later for another. These are the issues I’ve had with them and their horrible customer service in less than a year: 1. After bringing my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee home I noticed bubbling/corrosion in the paint on the hood. Did not notice it on the test drive. They originally told me nothing they can do about it. After speaking to the manager I mentioned to him this vehicle is still under Chrysler warranty. Still waiting after three weeks to hear back if I will be getting a new hood. Should’ve taken care of me without me having to fight tooth and nail and do my own research about the warranty. Still no guarantee I will get it replaced under warranty. 2. 2 months after buying the 2017 grand Cherokee I noticed the antifreeze level going down substantially in reservoir. Went to a shop and was quoted $900 water pump repair. The Lafontaine manager said they would only cover engine related issues after purchase, not sure how this was not an engine component and they could help me two months after spending over 20k on the Jeep. Zero help on this issue. After replacing water pump still have the level going from max to min in less than a month but can’t find the leak anywhere and no drops on driveway. 3. Took the 2016 vehicle into the service department after having some headlight issues after changing the lightbulb. Was quoted $800 for a new headlight module manifold. Repeatedly asked them to check the light bulb if it was loose but they wouldn’t even do that for me and insisted that wasn’t it. After finally reaching with my big arm I was able to tighten the bulb and found out it indeed was loose. Basically would’ve spent near a grand for nothing. 4. Was sold a tire and rim protection plan for the 2017 grand Cherokee. Was told if any issues with the tire at all I could come in and get a new tire. It sounded nice so I went with it. After exactly 5 months of having the vehicle I got a nail in the tire and took it in. The service department said the other 3 tires were good, but the tread on this tire was below the 3/32nd thread level to get me a new tire. Had no idea about this before and wasn’t told about this upon being sold the plan. The plan sales person was unaware of this stipulation. If they had good customer service they would’ve helped me anyway, but NOPE! Any issue I’ve ever had with the two vehicles I’ve gotten from them I’ve left more frustrated and not helped, feeling like I got played like a fiddle. STAY AWAY!!! Zero stars More
Biggest Mistake of my life Instead of the family deal they promised we got the biggest rip off ever. I blame myself for trusting them. I would never ever go back to them.
