Not Lafontaine standards Diane Stack service personnel greeted me with financial charges up to $500,00 for replacing my def fluid system. My truck is a 2014 350 dually Dodge Ram 6,7 liter etc. . In 2016 Dodge recalled this def system which had kinks. Plus, I have a $2;000,00 warranty. After a meeting with the general manager it was decided that the procedure would not cost me. The mechanic claimed to have fixed the problem after two days. I drove ten miles and my engine light came on. When I returned to the dealership Diane informed me that fixing the problem would take a week or longer, because they only had one diesel mechanic. Over 3 weeks later I picked up my truck and I was charged a $100.00 deductible fee. I paid the fee and 25 miles down the road the problem was back. I took my truck to anther Dodge dealer and they informed me that the def issue was a recall item and I should not have been charged. They fixed the issue in two hours at no charge. While I was waiting for Lafontaine Fenton Dodge for over 3 weeks I needed to request Diane Stack several times to please keep me informed. I have written and called Lafontaine administration, but evidently they are not interested in keeping me as a customer for over 30 plus years. My wife also has been and is a long term customer. How many customers will need to move on for these problems to disappear? More
Unbelievable.... and not in a good way! I have a 2017 Jeep Compass that has a passenger side window that will not go up. It's still a lease vehicle, not yet 2 years old. After waiting to get in to have it repaired, where my appointment was changed to a date 2 weeks further out than it was originally scheduled, I was told it was not a covered repair. To quote the service department guy, "Parts simply wear out. It just happens. You need to expect that as a car owner." Seriously?? Then they want to charge me $400 to fix it. First of all, Thank you so very much Sir, for clarifying that for me. I'm well aware of normal wear and tear on a vehicle. However, on a vehicle 1.5 years old, sorry but No, my window motor should not simply just STOP WORKING. I fully expect to need to change the tires, brakes, wiper blades, oil etc, even on a new vehicle. But if Jeep makes a product that requires a new motor for my window every other year, it's a QUALITY issue. It was inconvenient enough that I had to take time off work to bring it in to be repaired but then to be chastised and talked down to, like I'm somehow ignorant because I expect my lease vehicle to have a working window, is just completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The Jeep has never been in an accident, suffered any damage that would have caused the issue, it simply stopped working. From things I have read online, it appears several of the Jeep products have this issue. The Commander was so bad that they actually switched to a different part! We are getting ready to purchase two additional new vehicles in the next 3 months and we were going to buy Jeeps. Our bluetooth also stopped functioning a couple months after we leased the Compass. They also wanted to charge us to fix that! We WILL Not be purchasing anymore Jeeps, if this is the quality we can expect. And we will absolutely NOT be doing business with this dealership again, given horrible Customer Service we received and in Fenton. If it was a situation where they fixed the issue and stood behind their product, I would not be upset in the least. Unfortunately, that was not the case. More

Back in January of 2018 my parent's vehicle wa We had one of the best experiences with purchasing a new vehicle here at LaFontaine Jeep in Fenton, MI. Back in January of 2018 my parent's vehicle was hit from the rear and the insurance company wrote it off as a total loss. My parents are senior citizens and did not understand everything. I began searching for a new SUV for my mom because that is what she wanted. LaFontaine advertised a great price on a Jeep Compass. When we arrived the dealership was extremely busy so the receptionist put us in contact with Jeremy Cheaney. Jeremy let us test drive the Compass and the Jeep Cherokee, this is while he was dealing with two other customers and one was a delivery. Jeremy was able to go over the options and explain the features and price of both vehicles. In the past, my parents had bad experiences with dealerships from not disclosing the interest rates to not disclosing the monthly payments. They were very cautious however Jeremy was very up front with everything. Most importantly Jeremy Cheaney displayed a high level of respect to myself and my parents. Jeremy worked with their insurance company to get the previous vehicle's final payment and settlement expedited, which sped up the new purchase process. On the day of delivery, I had a list of questions about options and services, needless to say the Business Manager Steven Knapp answered all of them. Steven gave my parents the protection of an extended warranty up until the vehicle is paid off and gap insurance. Two things we definitely wanted. Steven was also very up front and explained each and every sheet of paper in the deal, even if it didn't have to be signed. This dealership looked out for us, even the little things. They made us feel like customers were important. We passed many dealerships between Hazel Park and Fenton, it was definitely worth the trip. They even arranged for a loaner when the vehicle had to be taken in for a minor door lock repair after a local dealership had the vehicle the entire day and did not repair it. By far this is one of the best, if not the best dealership in Michigan hands down. My parents are most pleased with their 2018 Jeep Cherokee from LaFontaine!!! More

Jeremy and LaFontaine were Fantastic!! I was on the market for a new car and was interested in a Jeep. I went to a dealership down in Bloomfield Hills and they were not very help or inform I was on the market for a new car and was interested in a Jeep. After that experience, I was not planning to continue shopping for a Jeep, but decided to give it one more shot at LaFontaine. Jeremy was patient with me and worked incredibly hard to get me the best deal on the exact car I wanted. He was always responsive to questions either in person, or via text and email. He kept me up to date with the status of my vehicle and the purchasing process in general. Jeremy and the entire staff ad LaFontaine were fantastic and made my car shopping experience really enjoyable. Thank you Jeremy for all your hard work!!! More

I received a text from Jeremy Trent a day later saying that he found the exact car I preferred and we set up a meeting to look at the vehicle. I previously filed a pre-approved application before going and when I got there Jeremy had everything ready and primed to show my wife and I. Two hours later we drove away with the car with a reasonable price. Jeremy treated us Luke family and was very hospitable while my wife and I looked around. I appreciate the effort he put forth to get my wife and I what we were looking for. More

When I wanted a vehicle color they didnt have, they went out of their way to get one from another dealer, even tho it was quite a distance away. I was in my new car within a couple of days, and Jeremy made sure the process of turning in two cars and getting the new car prepped was quick so I was done within the time range he gave me. More
