After agreeing to purchase a vehicle, the evening before. The next morning, I invested driving 4 hours to the dealership to close the deal. I was in your dealership (LaFayette Ford , Fayetteville N.C. ) January 27, 2023 8:00a.m. for the following : Ford Factory Recall C/S 16S41 Fuel Delivery Module Flange Replacement: I have 2011 Ford Escape N.C. ) January 27, 2023 8:00a.m. for the following : Ford Factory Recall C/S 16S41 Fuel Delivery Module Flange Replacement: I have 2011 Ford Escape. The service advisor Mark Harney was very professional.. Once the service was completed Mark brought my car back to me and I drove off. As I was driving up the street from the dealership, I begin smelling a strong gasoline smell, it literal made me sick to my stomach. I got nervous and called Mark back, he spoke with a technician and I was told this was normal,, the work that was done included the fuel line... the smell would dissipate ( Well I had to put on a mask.. keep my windows down in 38-39 degree weather, so I could breath because I had other places I needed to go). . Well later on Friday I opened the back left door of my truck, back seat was disassembled and a hose and wires exposed from the floor board. I was totally shocked..It's very obvious that the work may have been started but it was incomplete. Totally unacceptable. All of these parts are old!!! This is also why I was smelling all of that gasoline!!!! You were closed by the time of my discovery and you are closed on Saturday. It is the weekend.. I am concerned about driving my truck in this condition, which is my only transportation. I will try another Ford Dealership, all though you came highly recommended. I have sent a email to Michelle with pictures of my findings. More
