Based upon my terrible experiences there I believe that all they care about is their profit – getting as much money from their customers as possible. I would not trust anything they say. All they want is as much money as they can squeeze out of you. Customer Beware! Let me tell you about my experiences there. First, I am a disabled veteran. I served overseas in the Western Pacific for twenty years, and have several health problems. I own a 1997 Jeep TJ. I wanted to make it as mechanically sound as possible, so I took it to Magnuson. They took a look at it and said that I needed a new frame. I told them I was at my limit about how much I was willing to put into it. The Magnusen employees, after they took a look at it told me they could do it for $10,000 to $12000. I responded that was fine and I didn't want to spend any more. They also told my friend and I that it would even include an upgrade on the lift kit on the jeep and some other minor upgrades. I agreed. I further mentioned that I understand that they make all these high end custom jeeps that were probably a higher priority – no problem, just please take your time and do a really good job on my jeep. It is my escape vehicle when the walls close in on me. They kept my jeep for over 6 months. I called several times to talk to them. They never returned any calls, I had to drive there every time, 40 minutes each way. Oh, they did call when they wanted money. Which I quickly brought them. On one visit they said they found a very good used frame, to help me save some money. It was rusty, but they said that it would be cleaned and coated. Finally, after over 6 months it was ready and I was told to bring in the final payment of $7,000 and pick up the jeep. I gave them the money and they told me that I owed them more. I asked how much? They told me they didn't know, but they would release it to me and contact me how much I owed (When they finally contacted me about the money, they told me I owed them $3,226 more, an increase of over 25%! How could they be so far off in their estimate?). Figuring it was probably a couple hundred more I took the jeep and left . The weather was bad, it was February. I didn't notice how it drove. A few days later, I drove it over to a friend's house and noticed that it pulled to the left. I took it to a repair shop and the mechanic told me the jeep was unsafe to drive. The jeep I just paid $12,000 to fix. Also, I noticed the rust was starting to come through the coating on the frame. Magnuson's guys had just painted over the rust. Great. I eventually went in and talked to Matt Magnuson and he asked me to give him a chance to make it right. I agreed. They picked it up from my apartment a few days before Thanksgiving. I drove over there at the end of November to check and they said they were getting ready to look at it. Unfortunately, I had some health problems in December and January. I called several times and left messages. Never received a return call. I went to their shop in March and found out that they had not touched the jeep! I drove over there and talked to one of the service managers and he told me to call him, even gave me his extension. I called him (This was the first time anyone talked to me when I called them.) and he answered and told me that the guy, Dave, who was responsible for my jeep and Matt Magnuson were going to have a meeting about my jeep. I was expecting a call at this point. It has been over 3 weeks and still no call. More

After driving 4 hours to get the jeep I had my mechanic inspect it and he found axel seals leaking, crank shaft leak, rattling in the exhaust, a sound from the wheel hub and an oil leak. We asked about it and were told it passed the safety inspection and they had seen no issues. We got it back to the shop the next day and got it on the rack and found the axel is bent, hence the seal leak and were currently working through the rest of the issues. We contacted our sales person Nick Crum and were told they won't stand by their safety inspected car. We work directly with Dodge and Jeep as well as AMW and QuietKat and have raised complaints with each business. Either their service department is really bad at their job and can't find a bent axel on a safety inspection or they knew about it and its fraud. Either way we have our corporate lawyers looking into their practices. More
I purchased a 2013 Q5 from here at the end of October 2023. The Laporte Chrysler sales rep (we'll call him SB) had assured me that the vehicle had passed inspection from the service dept. and was mechani 2023. The Laporte Chrysler sales rep (we'll call him SB) had assured me that the vehicle had passed inspection from the service dept. and was mechanically sound. About a week later it started to misfire. Swapped the plugs and coils, but it didn't improve. When I took it into the Audi dealership, they showed me on video that there is a hole burned through the third valve from a lifetime of oil consumption. You can imagine it takes longer than a week to cause that kind of damage, they assured me so. I reached out to SB about the issue and he said the owner was willing to help fix it at-cost if I could bring it in for service. I agreed and was told the service dept. would reach out. They did not. After contacting SB again a week later regarding bringing it in, I finally got a response from a service tech (we'll call TL) who told me it would be $13-16.5k to replace the engine, without even allowing me to get the vehicle in to look at. I questioned why I would pay LaPorte Chrysler $16k to repair a vehicle I had just paid them roughly $11k for hardly a month ago. TL told me he would not fix it for free (of course not?). Admittedly, I misunderstood the meaning of "at-cost" but if other shops are quoting me roughly $17k for new crate engine install, I don't think this math is working out at all. I got Matt Magnuson's contact info a couple weeks ago, but fell ill and am just now getting back up. I may still contact Mr. Magnuson, but I am not really hopeful. Long story short: I needed a reliable vehicle to pick up my daughter from school this winter and trusted LaPorte Chrylser Dodge Ram with my purchase. They sold me a car with a hole burnt in the engine and implied to me that it was my fault. Less than 2 months, less than 1,000 miles, and over $11k dollars later, and all I have to show for it is a vehicle that I can't drive and am ashamed to own. Merry Christmas. I hope this review keeps you from making the same mistake I made. More
Went to look at a 2021 Charger Redeye Hellcat in October of 2022 and was greeted by Calvin Schoon. Next, I was brought back to see the car that was in the DARK service area and was told that since it was a of 2022 and was greeted by Calvin Schoon. Next, I was brought back to see the car that was in the DARK service area and was told that since it was a Saturday I could not pull it out so I could see it in the light. The vehicle only had 158 miles on it and was told by Calvin there was not a scratch on it. I pointed out to him the rear tires were mismatched and looked used and he said he would check into that, but again nothing else was wrong with the car. I then told him to get all the paperwork written up and would be back to purchase the car in a week and he agreed. I then received a call from Calvin in the middle of the week to tell me they would be replacing the rear tires and also by the way the car, when at Chrysler had been STOLEN and there was damage to it before they got it to the dealership. Again was told there was no damage to the car except for the mismatched tires and they would take care of that. Also was told by Calvin the car would come with a 5 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY. Went to pick up the car and finally saw it in the light and found a small dent by the gas cap area and AGAIN was told by Calvin that was the only spot of damage on the car. Drove car back to my work and while driving could feel a vibration at higher speeds so I had it inspected. Next found that not only were the tires out of balance and the alignment incorrect but there was DAMAGE TO ALL 4 WHEELS which two of them just had new tires put on by this dealership and also the passenger front tire was mismatched. Next sent pictures to Calvin and was told they would be repaired and to get the wheels back to them and they would get me a third tire, which I did. 2 weeks later I picked them back up and found 2 of them were repaired but 2 still needed to be repaired and again was told to bring them back and would be done. Informed Calvin and the dealership that the car was in storage and would need something in writing for when I brought them back, which they supplied. I eventually brought them back and after calling multiple times to now the service department, because Calvin can no longer help me he said, was told the company they used for this refused to work on the wheels again and to come pick them up. When I did I was promised they were going to still make it right and get me 2 new wheels. I am writing this review 8 months after the purchase of the car and still no new wheels. I have contacted and left messages with what I am told is the owner, Matthew Magnuson, and have never received a call back. If you are thinking about buying a vehicle from this business I recommend you think long and hard because they do not back up what they say. In case you are wondering about the 5 YEAR BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY if it is true, it is not. Finally found out the factory warranty is restricted, meaning BLOCKED. UPDATE In reply to your response to what you said about the wheels, you may want to check with your Service Manager Ron. He told me that when I picked them up the second time, he did not know why they REFUSED to work on them, just that they were not going to. As for the warranty, as I stated in my original review, I was told by Calvin it was a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. I also asked Calvin about the factory warranty before signing the paperwork and if I would have a problem using the FACTORY WARRANTY and was told I would not since the vehicle had never been titled before. As for my " satisfaction upon pick up of the vehicle " again, I was originally told the vehicle did not have a scratch on it. So yes, once I brought it to my shop and found all the defects, the same day I signed the paperwork, I notified you right away. As for Calvin being with you for over 40 years means nothing except, as in my case, misinforming the customers. You stated that you have not heard from me in six months, but I have left multiple messages for Matt and have not heard anything back. More
Saleperson stated before purchasing that the vehicle was serviced & drove it himself to confirmed that upon receiving it there will be no issues. As I know the risk of purchasing a used vehicle there is goi serviced & drove it himself to confirmed that upon receiving it there will be no issues. As I know the risk of purchasing a used vehicle there is going to be minor issues. But this is not the case, this dealership place my family and myself in endanger. As the third day of receiving the vehicle I took the family out to dinner and run some errands only to encounter one of the scary moment beside war-time as the vehicle start to shake violently and the front end stated to shuttered upon applying the brakes after exiting out of the highway. Shaking and frightening from that experience we decided it was best we stay away from the highway until the source of the issue was resolved. On the local road the vehicle drove new no issues. But the very next day which was a Sunday, I send the owner and saleperson to address my concerned, no response. Until I contact them on Monday Aug 7 2023, they stated that their service department did not find anything wrong or issues upon releasing the vehicle. With that being said I made arrangements for a local Dodge Dealership to confirm my experience. Local Dealership found the front rotors to be out of round worst than the rear. As all 4 rotors had to be replaced. SMH. Now I had to paid out of pocket for the replacement of the rotors, Contacted LaPorta Dealership & they ghosted me. Please be aware as this dealership is not to be trusted with their shady tactics/lies to make an extra dollar off of you. More to follow as this is not over, next is Legal action. Please be safe out there. SSG Delgado, G. FYI. I have all the supporting documents if anyone needs proof. You can reach me at my personal email gotti2841@gmail.com. More

By far the worst customer service I've experienced. Bought a Rubicon here and was hoping to buy a truck. Took 8 phone calls and tons of run around before I finally gave up. SO disappointed since they'r Bought a Rubicon here and was hoping to buy a truck. Took 8 phone calls and tons of run around before I finally gave up. SO disappointed since they're local. Left messages for our salesman who never got back to us. Got Miya who tried to help but didn't have much knowledge and couldn't transfer a call. Called back and got Rico who abruptly put me back into a long repeating musical loop for no reason. Called back yet again and got McKayla who was the rudest of them all. VERY snotty, refused to give me the sales managers name then hung up on me. Never have I encountered a dealer with all "uneducated kids" working. I hope the owner of Laporte Dodge reads this and cleans house. EXTREMELY unprofessional! Won't go back. Also NONE of these people listed as their sales department below actually seem to work there or at least weren't getting on the phone. More
