Exemplary, personal service NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA, displayed exemplary service during our recent purchase of a new 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ 4x4. I had been looking for a NeSmith Chevrolet in Claxton, GA, displayed exemplary service during our recent purchase of a new 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ 4x4. I had been looking for a very specific setup on a Tahoe since December 2016. While visiting family in GA in late Feb 2017, I looked at the NeSmith Chevy website and there it was! I called up sales and was quickly connected w/ Tommy Waters (perhaps providentially) and he treated us like family (really) from the moment we spoke on the phone. It was no different when we arrived to the dealership. There were no games. There were no pushy sales tactics. (Of course, it helped a little that the Tahoe is an awesome machine! :) ) We had a very frank and honest discussion and were able to come to acceptable terms quickly. The vehicle had a scratch on the left front bumper. Tommy said, "that will be fixed and you will not know it was there." Wes, the finance manager, was equally as cordial and straight-forward. The entire purchase process was simple. No smoke and mirrors. Just honest people doing honest business. We drove back to Claxton five days after purchase to pick up our new Tahoe. The scratch on the bumper was fixed just as Tommy said it would be. It looked brand new. On our return visit, everyone was just as friendly as the first time. Incidentally, my parents had been looking for a used truck, a Dodge 2500, to pull their travel trailer. Tommy had one on the lot the day of our purchase and my parents drove over to Claxton three days later to check it out. It was not exactly what they were looking for. One might expect a 'thanks for coming. We'll keep our eyes open for you"......but Tommy did better than that. He talked to my dad about what he was looking for and asked how he could help. My dad had found a truck (2008 Dodge 2500) in a neighboring state that was too far away for him to go look at it, but he knew it was a good truck. Tommy called the dealer and determined he was able to purchase the vehicle. He and my dad came to terms on the purchase of the truck that same day. It was a very fair deal and my dad is quite pleased with the truck. Tommy didn't have to go to that trouble, but he was happy to help. He got an unexpected sale and my dad got the truck he wanted! We returned to pick up our Tahoe the same day my parents came to pick up their truck. My wife and mother were greeted with a genuine hug from Tommy. And when he said he appreciated your business, you knew he meant it. NeSmith has already gotten some very good, free advertising from us! We were very satisfied with our entire customer experience and are telling others. I have already referred one of my colleagues in Charleston stating that it would be worth the drive to NeSmith. Took Care of the Probelm with my Truck We experienced a problem with the rear end of our truck which was covered under the warranty. GM had to ship all new parts, which took a while. Car was evaluated and notified of the repairs needed. I called and made my appointment and explained the service I needed. On the day of the appointment, my daughter took my vehicle for me and per her t I called and made my appointment and explained the service I needed. On the day of the appointment, my daughter took my vehicle for me and per her the service department could not find the additional request I had given besides my oil change. Several calls between my daughter and I and I finally called the service department myself. Explained the request I had given and was told they found information now. The person that took info previously wasn't there and they had found information. Once again went over service needed. They checked my car as I asked and then call me as requested to inform me of the repairs needed. Repairs was made. My appt was at 1:00 and my daughter and grandchild waited until work completed at 4:30. The miscommunication among the staff prolonged the time she had to wait and no way to go anywhere but stay in the waiting area or walk to nearest convenience store for refreshments. I have used this service dept for years and prefer to use it rather than my local Chevrolet dealership in Vidalia. I have always been pleased with their work. More
