After being hit from behind at a high rate of speed due to blinding sun, I found myself at Kunes looking for a Buick LaSabre, the same model car th After being hit from behind at a high rate of speed due to blinding sun, I found myself at Kunes looking for a Buick LaSabre, the same model car that God used to save my life. It was my late uncle's car that I called the "Millennial Limo" and now, to my ultimate sadness, he was totaled. This was my Spring Break week, a time reserved for being care-free, not a time for phone calls from insurance companies, rental places, banks, and adjusters. It wasn't supposed to include sleepless nights of accident flashbacks and a driving fear factor that I was totally unfamiliar with. I reluctantly walked into Kunes nearly broken, not knowing what to expect, only knowing that if I received the typical unwelcome used car dealership mentality, I'd leave. I DIDN'T WANT to be there, but I NEEDED a car from somewhere. Kunes was my first and only dealership stop and here's why: they met me where I was emotionally, financially, and spiritually. I've never heard of a car place living up to a motto of, "faith, family, and giving back." Their faith in Jesus is evident by showing His compassion. I felt like family on the first night when I wasn't pressured or rushed in any way. John respected my emotional state and he gave me all the time I needed to walk & think, ask questions, and research. As for giving back, they will bring in other cars from their many dealerships regardless of the miles. They'll help with transportation from a rental place. John even delivered a new car to the house of a person with a medical condition and drove the trade in back to the dealership. I was overwhelmed at their hospitality and willingness to go the extra mile to make my experience the absolute best! They're even holding my check as I wait for insurance and other money to come through. They trust me enough to drive off the lot without technically paying one penny!!! WHO DOES THAT??? KUNES DOES THAT!!! Spring Break started out just about as bad as it could, but because of John and the Kunes family/team, Ii had a wonderful experience and happily drove off with "Queenie", my exciting Equinox!
