I wanna share a Lil experience I had this month with kunes country in. Platteville... They bugged us for months and month because of our good payment history to come and trade the 2002 Ford f150 we had kunes country in. Platteville... So we called made our vip appointment with Ryan pierce... Sat third of July 9.45 am.. We walk in talk to Daniel Evans very nice dude our age group.. We checked vehicles on their website said they have in stock and wanted to check out a lincoln suv and a Cadillac suv... Since we are a big family he suggested us a test drive in a Buick encore fully loaded nice vehicle 31k ect . He runs our credit we gotta say my wife just was approved to buy a 120k house but we didn't buy it because some my immigration papers are not complete we could not buy a house at this point. She don't has bad fico scores no open collections or anything we worked hard to. Clean all up before the house just one score didn't update yet. Trans union allways needs longer... Back to kunes... They run her credit and Said we can't get the suv and get in a great payable rate. We told em 450 would be max monthly payment... We offered our truck as trade in... My thinking we easy get 3 grant for truck plus 1500 bonus for trade in.. How can we not get in that payment range.. I ask Daniel a couple times how much interest rate how much is trade in... He allways said I have no clue Ryan will go over that with you... So he came and said either Co signer or diff vehicle we said ok let's check on some cheaper maybe that Cadillac we wanted he said it's in staughton and takes a couple days to get here. I said we can drive there and just get it and do all there he didn't wanted that. Daniel suggested a 2014 Buick lacrosse 80k miles for 14995 bucks 12 month warranty and extandable warranty possible.. We liked it it was fully loaded and drive like a charm.. We said u know what let's do it... He works on stuff a hour goes by they needed a employer verification on a sat before 4th of July... My wife was mad we wasted hours she wrote her boss and we left kunes.. Daniel was so nice to send us attached first picture overview of the vehicle in email.. About 2 h later kunes called and said boss called and verified income hurry come in so we can finish it all up... We did.. We got there he said we gotta come up with a bit more down payment... With another 1000 cash down we can get down to $416 a month... I ask again how much for truck and he said we give u a grant for it... I was visibly pissed but my wife liked the car and she was OK so we went moved some money from our savings to pay that 1000 down... Ryan rushes thru papers sudenly stuff comes to sign on a tablet ect my wife wanted just go with her vehicle I ask for warranty again he said that lender can't finance that but we could pay cash for that.. But it's expensive.. Not happy we signed all.. Remember it was about 5 pm now on Sat before 4th of July... We get out plates and all Ryan. Put our papers all in our kunes folder and they wish us a good day and let us drive off after a car wash and filled a quarter tank for us... Tuesday we get a letter from our finance company sudenly the vehicle cost over 16k and they put us at a 22% interest rate... Yes 22% with over 600 credit scores u get 22% at kunes... Federal says 18% Is the max but car dealer go around that.. Max in Wisconsin is 28%.. So no we have a $14995 car with no warranty traded in a truck and 1000 down and owe now whooping 28k on it... I was pissed... They f... US over and didn't even used lube.... So I call Tuesday neither Ryan or Daniel availible for me.. I send 3 emails nothing... I ask for manager no one availible for me.. Friday evening we drive around and our car starts making grinding noises in passanger front side... I call all weekend nobody there finaly I get a hold of Daniel Evans he promised he finds a solution for a whole week nothing!!! I call again ask for manager aperently nobody works last Friday finaly I reach someone chuck Markus... We know Chuck from fullback in Boscobel about 7 years ago he was able to get us in a town a country for 13% with barely 500 score... He remembers and promises to check and see what he can do... He gonna call me back on Monday... Today is Tuesday no call no email answer no nothing... I filed a dealers complained with bbb and Wisconsin dot I posted on kunes fb page a review and all they did is block me and deleted the review!!! Shady business in my eyes... Getting a lawyer now.... Where to start......I was told to be cautious when dealing with Kunes, now I see why the dealership has this reputation. I went there to specifically look at a F-250, which I test drove and decided t dealing with Kunes, now I see why the dealership has this reputation. I went there to specifically look at a F-250, which I test drove and decided to purchase the truck. The dealership refused to negotiate and kept telling me they supposedly had it sold for full price. I returned the truck the next day and then they offered to sell it to me...even though it was "sold" the day before. Sam Gomez even staged a whole conversation with another dealer about the truck that I wasn't supposed to hear.....he "thought" he had me on hold. Against my better judgement I test drove a Ram 2500. It had everything I was looking for so I decided to purchase the truck. I had to leave town on business so my wife stepped in to finalize and sign for the truck. After 4 hours of "games" sorting through pricing, warranties, gap insurance, and a key warranty....she was ready to back out of the deal. She felt like they knew a woman was coming in to sign papers and they tried to take advantage of her and include everything in the deal except the kitchen sink. Fortunately, my wife is smarter than that and saw right through their games. I have the truck, it's a great truck but I promise no one in this family will ever deal with Kunes again. Be careful and read everything. They play gospel music in their lobby (which I enjoyed) but don't let them fool you. They are the reason people don't like car dealerships. More
