Wisconsin, I do apologize you feel you had a less than honest experience here at Kunes Country of Elkhorn but I assure you we were not trying to be dishonest. We pride ourselves on being an upfront organization that is focused on customer service and satisfaction. We did in fact have a customer willing to give us a deposit on that particular vehicle however we did not have correct information from him and were unable to reach that individual. In terms of the negotiations, every used vehicle is different, as well as every used vehicle guide. We do use Live Market Pricing and attempt to offer the best value when color, options, and mileage are taken into account. This also means we do not have as much wiggle room that other dealers may have when it comes to trade-ins. This particular vehicle was the right color, fully loaded, locally owned, and extremely low mileage. You found the cream of the crop! Your trade was not a typical trade and thus was difficult to put a value on, we also need to ensure we are buying your vehicle at a good value. If in any way you felt forced to purchase the vehicle please let me know so that I may remedy and train on the situation. I also understand that you may have received a higher estimate for the repairs, I will personally handle getting the repairs done for $800 or less with my body shop and if it costs any more I will take care of the difference. I apologize that you did not have the customer experience that we strive for and if there is anything I can do to remedy the situation please contact me personally at 262-723-3900. Wisconsin, Thank you very much for your honesty. Many of these word tracks are used throughout the sales world, cars or other, though we try to keep them as low pressure as possible. We definitely do not want to be seen as a high pressure or dishonest organization. Our salespeople are trained in negotiations but even more so trained on Customer Satisfaction and Product knowledge because we believe these are the cornerstones of our profession. I understand that price is an issue because like you I am always looking for the best deal I can. I often find myself looking for the best value, whereas the product or service I get exceed the product or service offered at a lesser price and I hope you can see that that is what we strive for. Yes that car may have been more expensive but because of it being just the right vehicle it was worth the slightly higher price. Overall it seems you were satisfied with your experience even if you did not quite get the price you were hoping, would that assessment be true? If it is I was wondering if you could possibly change your review to from not recommending this dealer to that you would recommend us?
