ALL MANAGERS NEED TRAINING!! Kuhn sold my daughter a Certified Used vehicle with a fuel issue! Multiple tows and many weeks in service (3 different times because they just clear the code and let it go, then it breaks down again hours later). Then they wanted $800 to repair, which I had to approve because she needs it back. I was told if the $800 fix didn't repair it, I would get a refund. They needed to stay late and work all day Saturday to get it done. No one replied to my texts asking if it was ready all day Saturday. I called in and they said it was ready that morning. I'm not sure how it was ready so early for a repair needing all day, and no one called. I had left many messages and texts for the Sales Manager for days trying to discuss this issue and how they can help pay for it since it was sold this way. He ghosted me, so when I picked up my car I walked in to him, as that was the only way I could get him to talk to me. I HAVE BEEN POLITE AND PATIENT FOR MONTHS, THERE WAS NO REASON HE NEEDED TO AVOID ME, EXCEPT THAT HE HAS NO IDEA HOW TO DO HIS JOB. I asked why he was willing to help at first until it would cost him money and then he changed his mind and stopped communicating with me. He said let me call the service manager and I will meet you over to pick up your car. I went over and waited. He again ghosted me and sent a messenger to say here are the keys and this car is not welcome back. (Loosing two warrantied vehicles because I own one also). No explanation. I asked to have the service manager call me Monday, I am more than willing to work this out. I am not declining paying (what would have been refunded anyways). They just didn't want to deal with it. THE SERVICE MANAGER NEVER CALLED ME. So I hunted him down for 3 days via phone and Kevin finally took my call. He said someone must be playing a joke on me and there must be another fuel problem - ON A LOCKED GAS CAP THAT IS GARAGE KEPT! I let him know the lights were back on and the car STILL ISN'T FIXED. He said they can't get it in for 3 weeks and said we need to take it elsewhere. THIS IS A CAR THEY CLAIMED TO FIX AND COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT. So we went more local to a more honest VW. I didn't tell them YET what we went thru. He brings out a water bottle with 1/2 water and 1/2 gas. THIS CAR WAS NEVER FIXED, THEY LIED ABOUT DOING THE REPAIR!!! Thankfully North Tampa VW was able to fix it, and the other 2 issues in order to get the lights to go off successfully, NOT JUST CLEARING CODES BECAUSE THEY ARE SHADY!! I asked Kevin at Kuhn to have Jordan whom runs the dealership to call me, but he never did. So, we opened a formal complaint with VW. THEY DON'T CARE!!! I held off on this post, even though we went thru the ringer, I was hopeful they would make it right. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MIND ON DEALING WITH SUCH A SHADY DEALERSHIP!! More

TLDR- their certified pre owned process is absurd/not legitimate at all. The service departments are ridiculous and tell you that each of them are wrong and trying to rip you off. We’ve been quoted $3600 in repairs since May & had to replace tires. My husband and I purchased two certified pre owned vehicles in April, a 2019 GTI & 2019 Tiguan. We have had the WORST experience with their service department. By May the GTI had an issue with the oil pan, Lakeland VW quoted us $1200 to fix and said it wasn’t covered by warranty and that the screws had been stripped due to being removed several times. I called Kuhn furious and they said that Lakeland VW was wrong and just trying to rip us off, so they fixed it. Fast forward to Oct, a tire on the GTI blew and had to be replaced, the tire place said the tires were bald. At the same time a EPC light & check engine light came on. We called Kuhn and they said it was fine to take it to Lakeland VW to get it checked out. Lakeland VW quoted us $2400 in service needed including an entirely new wiring system, new brakes, a new battery (apparently they sold us the car with an aftermarket battery that was never programmed to the car) - none of which is covered by any of the warranties. We called Kuhn again and they say don’t worry about it, bring it to us so we drive to tampa for them to tell us they won’t look at it without $189 fee, that nothing is covered and then accused us of having an aftermarket battery THAT THEY SOLD TO US. This is all just for the gti. The Tiguan had to have the driver side side mirror replaced within a week & has an issue with the wipers since purchase that they won’t fix. More
I have purchased over 40 cars in my lifetime and this was one of the best experiences. Salesperson made process smooth from beginning to end. Dealership pricing blew away competitors. Our salesman Lenny Martinez was not only friendly and respectful he worked hard to help us get into our new car with no hassle. He had complete transparency and wonderful communication skills. It was a pleasure doing business with this dealership because of Lenny. When comparing the other Volkswagon dealerships in Tampa, Kuhn has the best inventory and the best customer service skills from the sales department to the finance department. We will be recommending them to all our friends and family. More
