On August 14, 2016, my husband and I executed documents to purchase a 2015 Mazda3 at which time we used a credit card for the $1,000.00 down payment. After we left the dealership and were on our way home, the car stalled out 3 different times in our 26 mile trip home and white smoke belched from the exhaust! (I have on video.) We immediately returned the car within 2 hours of purchase (after wasting an entire day!) Upon our returning the car, the manager Aaron and the finance manager Robert ensured us all the documents would be null and void, that our car tags would be transferred back to our personal vehicle and they would not charge the credit card for the down payment and that we didn't have to sign anything it was just as if it never happened. Almost as if they knew the vehicle had major mechanical issues. Two days later, we purchased a vehicle from a different dealership and we were told our tags were not registered to any vehicle. This issue took a week for Kuhn to resolve and only after numerous telephone calls to Aaron, the General Manager, Marco Santana, as well as 2 unreturned voicemails left for Ms. Kelly, the title clerk. During one of my 6 calls with Kuhn on 8/18, Aaron attempted to blame us, stating we came in with invalid tags. I pointed out that our tag was valid until 9/5/16 and it was not able to be transferred because it was 5 years old, at least this is what Robert (finance mgr) told us. I pointed out that they have handled this situation so well, that not only were we driving with illegal car tags but that our credit card was charged the down payment. There was a pause and he stated he would have to look into this and get back to me. My final call with Aaron was 8/18 at 6:45 p.m., he said Robert, the finance manager, would have to get with their title clerk the following day in order to address the car tag/registration. It was at this time that I again pointed out that the credit card was charged to which Aaron assured me the transaction would be reversed. Amazingly, after insisting the car registration/tag issue was our fault and they had nothing to do with it, I received a voicemail from Robert on 8/19 stating they had reversed the registration. Today, two weeks after the initial transaction and 10 days after my last conversation with Aaron, the transaction still remains on my credit card. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and, of course, challenged the charge with my credit card company. More
Used/CPO Buying Experience I recently located a Used/CPO VW Jetta GLI that I was in the market for at Kuhn. I sent in an internet inquiry and was pleased to have gotten a response within 30 minutes from a sales person. I made arrangements to go in the next evening and take a look. I arrived at the dealer and the original person who emailed me wasn't available so I was linked up with another sales associate. We took a look at the car and completed a test drive and the vehicle was recently off lease with only 21k miles on it. The internet price was a tad high and I knew this going in as I tend to do my homework before car shopping. The only flaw on the car was that both foglights appeared to have some sort of crud in the bottom that was visible just looking at the front of the car. I pointed this out and the sales person wasn't even aware of it until I did that. This was a bit perplexing for me as CPO cars supposedly go through some 100 something point inspection before being put on the lot. Anyhow, I advised the sales person I was still in the market and looking at a couple of other cars and managed to get the price calculations for what my out the door cost would be. Shocking to learn that Kuhn charges not only a dealer/doc fee but they also add a duplicate reconditioning fee, which mind you is equal to the dealer/doc fee, on all of their used cars. So this makes the price you see online very deceiving, which in my opinion is a very shady selling tactic. The sales manager that my sales person ran numbers by was unwilling to negotiate off the price on the web so I ended up leaving. The next day I received an email back from my sales person asking if I had given any more thought to the car and I was interested as it was the color I wanted and had all of the options I was looking for along with it being certified and having low miles. I made a reasonable counter offer and also asked that they remediate the issue with the foglights that I had pointed out earlier. I got a prompt reply within a few minutes that the sales manager would reduce the price $400 if they didn't do the foglight work or $100 if they fixed the foglights. I have bought my fair share of cars and as I mentioned earlier had done extensive research into the price of the car. I was appalled that they wouldn't budge more than $100 off an already overpriced car, especially it being the last day of the month. In the meantime, I had received an email from the General Manager of the dealership as a general inquiry about my visit to the dealer. I promptly copied and pasted all the email exchanges I'd had into a reply and let him know my thoughts on their pricing/negotiating/customer service tactics. No less than 15 minutes later the General Manager wrote me back accepting my terms, which was a given as it was a reasonable offer that I had made. My main issue is why I had to get a General Manager involved, when an obviously incompetent sales manager wasn't able to do what could have been done with a lot less back and forth. I then spoke to my sales person and let him know I'd be in later that day to finalize everything and that I'd already filled out a credit app and what rate I was going to get from my bank so that everything could be ready to go by the time I got there. I arrived at the dealer later that day and already had heard back from their finance department on what rate I had secured and what the total cost out the door along with my down payment would be. I also had a tag to transfer so everything was ready to go and this was my ultimate goal as I did not want to sit in this dealer for hours on end for them to just have me sign papers. All in all, it still took over two hours for the finance person to get the paperwork ready, which should have been done per our prior conversations that day, and for me to be on my way. Upon leaving, I realized they never included the "We Owe" form for the foglights that they had agreed to repair as part of the deal. I turned around and went back to secure a copy as I seriously doubt they would have remembered or would have conveniently lost the form if I didn't make sure I had some evidence to the contrary. I was told my sales person would confirm availability of the parts and call me later in the week. A week goes by and of course I haven't heard from anyone at the dealer so I call my sales person back. He has to go check with their parts and service department as it had obviously slipped everyone's mind there that there was something still to be done to wrap this up. The one positive note is that they were able to get me on the service schedule the next day and they had the work completed in record time. The service folks were quite nice and accommodating, earning this review an extra star. Overall, be weary of purchasing a car here and make sure you have done your homework so they don't try to hose you with their ridiculous pricing strategy. More

The car has been in for oil changes and service over the course of a year. After removing my dashboard to replace the heater core they put it together wrong, broken plastic and in some places, left huge pieces of plastic not connected. Parts of the dash board are scratched and damaged still to this day. During the oil changes they would forget to fill up the add blue tank. They cracked the plastic for the add blue tank also when they did fill it up. During service visits they often would say nothing is wrong with the vehicle. I would have to bring it back multiple times. They weren't really interested in taking time to diagnose the problem. I left this dealership with a year old car leaking antifreeze with broken / scratched dash board. I finally called Volkswagen corporate and had another dealership resolve my coolant leak. I hope the owner of Kuhn Honda Volkswagen reads this personally. More
Horrible experience I have bought three cars from this dealership, all Certified Pre-owned. The salesman played games over the phone telling me a lower price for the car I have bought three cars from this dealership, all Certified Pre-owned. The salesman played games over the phone telling me a lower price for the car than what it really was and once I got on the lot, there were all kinds of extra add-on fees. They tried charging me a certification fee which I never paid on the two previous vehicles I bought there. I had to negotiate for over six hours and I did not get a decent deal until I threatened to walk out the doors. The sales staff was rude and Inexperienced. Some people like the car buying games, but not this guy. I will be taking my business elsewhere next time! More
Do not shop Kuhn vw To my friends, here is my story.?Do not ever shop for a car at Kuhn VW.?My daughter on Sunday picked three cars to possibly purchase all at Kuhn VW.?S To my friends, here is my story.?Do not ever shop for a car at Kuhn VW.?My daughter on Sunday picked three cars to possibly purchase all at Kuhn VW.?She was going to make her current vehicle a trade on the purchase.?When she arrives two different salesmen assisted her, providing her a price on the vehicle of choice. ?She was told no less than 4 times that the price was 18,545.00 “Out the Door”. This was confirmed Twice with the Sales Manager. When she had the price of the car set , she then negotiated the price of her trade. Which took a bit but they agreed that 4,000.00 would be the value of the trade. ?My math goes something like this, Car 18545-trade 4000=14545 correct.?Well now we know the amount of the loan correct?. ?Well apparently not. ?As the financial manager passed numerous documents for my Daughter to sign, I have yet to see him present her with a contract for sale, with the “numbers”. Then a financial disclosure notice was passed to my daughter which listed the AMOUNT OWED for the loan to be 19,800.00, Whats this ? My daughter exclaims. The financial Manager asks her what do you mean that is the amount of the loan. ?Needless to say my daughter left the dealership without any explanation on how a vehicle priced at 14,545 can turn into owing 19,800.. To my friends do not shop at Kuhn VW. More

No smooth talking and pushing but a professional team that, of course wants to sell a car, but in no way made you feel uncomfortable. I left with a volkswagen golf 2012, which is like new, for an acceptable price and want to thank the staff, but in particular Kanara, Pernell and not to forget Adam who made the financial part of the purchase easy and clear. Don't waist your valuable time by driving all over the county to find your Volkswagen. My next car will be from Kuhn again. Frank van Zantvoort More
