We went to Kuhn Volkswagen and our salesman was Lenny Martinez. Lenny was great and he had everything ready for us when we arrived. Can’t say enough about how well this dealership took care of me and my family. Lenny is the absolute best sales man in the business. He makes sure everything is done smoothly and efficiently. We came into Kuhn because we had done pre pricing on the Amex Tru Car website. And NOBODY at Kuhn admitted to knowing anything about that program. We found a car we liked and sat down to negotiate on it. Our salesman, Lenny was awesome. He is the one positive in our experience. This was our first time to a VW dealership, and notably the snack area was a few machines and a coffee machine without cups, sugar or even napkins. No water, no sodas, no snacks. After I stepped over some trash on the floor several times I eventually just picked it up. This was a first for us, and not too much to ask as car buying can take several hours. Our first negotiation was ridiculous, the trade in on our vehicle was low, especially as we provided what Carmax, Carvana, etc... was willing to pay, and the discounts weren't all added. We eventually agreed on a price, trade in, etc.... Although, notably the tax was not included on this 'final offer" which is not ethical, nor legal. This is where it really goes south. We sit down with Bo in finance, and he added costs to our vehicle without our approval or knowledge. He changed our loan terms. He basically ripped us off for thousands of dollars. Bo did not go through the contract with us, it was just sign here, sign here, and go. We spent less than 10 minutes in finance. When we arrived home we looked thru the contract (yes, we should have done this there, but this is a business, and assumed they were ethical) and realized we were missing pages of the document which included these unauthorized items!!!! We called the dealership and spoke to Rob who sent us the missing pages, and was planning to just return the car the next day and cancel our contract. The following morning we arrive and Rob goes through our contract, deleting all the extra items we were charged for, and changes our terms to the agreed upon terms. Nice guy. We then asked to speak with the owner. Jason/Jordan? was apologetic, reviewed the contract and appeared to be extremely upset with his finance guy, Bo. Assured us he would deal with him. We clearly stated how unethical Bo's practices were, aside from being illegal, and stated that Bo was a poor representation of the dealership. We were definitely disappointed he did nothing beyond to make it right for us, didn't offer us a tank of gas, a small discount, etc... A few days later we learned that Bo is in fact still employed. For the reason we are unable to recommend this dealership. More
