There are many factors that take place when evaluating the value of a trade in that cannot be directly reflected in the online KBB value determination. We apologize for the honest mistake we made when calling to schedule service on your new Mustang Mach-E, it was an oversight on our part, our scheduler saw the model “mustang” and assumed it needed an oil change, it’s a brand-new model and she didn’t realize it was the electric model. We apologize that you did not have the best experience here in our Service Department. You brought your 2016 Ford Fuse in for a PCM software update recall; however, our computer would not communicate with the vehicles PCM, which is why we needed to run a diagnostic to determine what was causing the communication failure. By running this diagnostic, if we found that the failure was not warrantable, there would be a diagnostic charge. We would like the opportunity to speak with you about your experience and would appreciate you contacting us at customercare@korum.com. I made it very clear ,Corporate sent a letter stating parts and labor would be covered for the recall .If a diagnostic was needed to perform the recall, that would be considered part of the recall .I spent a great deal of time and money travelling to Puyallup because I was instructed by Ford corporate to do so .Please explain to me why you are breaking down the recall into segments and charging for the each step to complete the recall .I 'm a human that traveled from sun up to sunset for two days to try and resolve the problem .Imagine if you were fortunate enough to have an employee with that fortitude. We apologize for the confusion regarding this situation. The recall 21E01, was to reprogram the PCM. Our computer would not communicate with your vehicles PCM, which it why we needed to run an additional diagnostic to determine what was causing the communication error. This additional diagnostic is not included in the original recall, and would need to be performed prior to doing the recall. We understand the inconvenience this has caused and would appreciate you contacting us at customercare@korum.com or by calling our service department at your earliest convenience.
