Ms. Dionna Donato purchased a vehicle from Koons Tysons Toyota on 07/01/13. Ms. Donato owed a balance on the transaction of $222.83, which she left unpaid for several weeks. Ms. Donato was contacted by the dealership's Finance Director on August 28th, advising Ms. Donato that the matter would be turned over to collections with the dealership's legal counsel if she did not pay. Consequently, Ms. Donato contacted Toyota's Customer Experience Center and opened a case. As a result of a case being established with Toyota, the Customer Relations Director contacted Ms. Donato on August 28th and spoke both to Ms. Donato and her husband. They were very professional and easy to work with, but wanted to know the reason why there was a balance due before paying it. The Customer Relations Director offered to set an appointment with the Finance Manager to review her financial documents and advised the representative from Toyota the exact offer made to Ms. Donato. However, after Ms. Donato informed the Customer Relations Director she had retained legal counsel, Ms. Donato was told the dealership staff would need to work directly with her attorney moving forward. Ms. Donato did finally rectify the situation by paying her unpaid balance on August 30th. At this time, Ms. Donato's account is paid in full. We sincerely regret there were any issues related to this transaction and wish Ms. Donato great enjoyment with her new vehicle.
