The experience lived up to the horror stories of "why people hate buying cars." I contacted the dealership, explained to them what I was interested in, what I'd be trading in, and my constraints. "why people hate buying cars." I contacted the dealership, explained to them what I was interested in, what I'd be trading in, and my constraints. I asked whether they were willing to work with me and were serious about making a deal. A.J. answered my queries in the affirmative. The experience at the dealership was awful. A.J. displayed little regard for my time by low balling me on my trade-in, only to "talk it over with his manager." The manager stated that they had indeed underestimated the value of my trade-in. The also dramatically overestimated the value of the car that interested me- the door jambs were dirty and scratched, the side of the car had a scratch, the entire car needed to be buffed, etc. Essentially, A.J. tried to portray a used car in good condition as immaculate. It appears Koons will try to shortchange you on your trade-in while refusing to budge on price, even when presented with clear evidence. I made it clear to A.J. that I would not be buying the vehicle in question, nor would I be doing business with Koons. I'm not sure how this translates to "please have the dealership contact me repeatedly over the next three days." More
I went 5 times within three weeks to get AC fixed for 06 Avalon. Condenser was replaced, then compressor was replaced, then avaporator was replaced. Even all replacements didn't work and finally mechanic d Avalon. Condenser was replaced, then compressor was replaced, then avaporator was replaced. Even all replacements didn't work and finally mechanic declared new part replaced was broken. I paid over 2000 dollars and feel I was ripped off due to wrong diagnosis of service manager. Won't recommend AC service with Koons Tyson Toyota I called Debra in customer service and she promissed me some service manager will call me to explain me why they took 5 attempts to fix AC. No one called me even after three weeks. Probably dealer is too big and no more care for customers. I lost confidence on Toyota , NEW Toyota parts and yes Toyota Dealers too. Always bought Toyota but won't buy it again. I completed Toyota survey also but no one responded back with any explanation what dealer did in five attempts to fix the problem and charging me parts and labor. More

It has left me stranded twice. they tried to tell me it just needed a new battery on day 6. Charged me over $200 to replace the battery (on a car I'd had less than a week). Here we are day 15 and it won't start. They are just shrugging their shoulders at me. More
I would like to start by saying I loved my salesman very friendly and helpful thanks derrick miller. I had the most negative experience with the financial department and their customer service manager. I ha friendly and helpful thanks derrick miller. I had the most negative experience with the financial department and their customer service manager. I had to call corporate multiple times to get assistance in dealing with the situation. My financial rep stopped me on the show room 1 month after I bought my car when i came to drop the car off for lojack installation and asked if he could contact me because there was a balance on my trade I told him that was fine. Long story short he never contacted me and 2 months later a rep from their financial department called me threatening me with attorneys if I didn't pay the balance. I tried requesting a meeting with my financial rep to figure out the details of the balance and through the experience I talked to several different people none of which had to do with my issue and was hung up on by the customer relations director Deborah Latiolais who was very rude and corporate connected me to her to help me handle the situation and she turned the whole thing into a nightmare. All I can say is watch who finances your vehicle make sure you know the details when dealing with their financial department and if you ever have a customer service problem call corporate first if not you'll get no where. In addition to performing a service that i did not ask for making me pay twice as much as i planned for, the mechanics stole a very valuable item from my glove compartment. I called 911 and reported the i for making me pay twice as much as i planned for, the mechanics stole a very valuable item from my glove compartment. I called 911 and reported the issue on the spot. These dealership isthe center for disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. More
This dealership had everything that makes buying a used a painfull experience: louzy used sales car tactics, arrogance of the management ("there are very few rav4 with 3rd row seats, and we buy all of them. painfull experience: louzy used sales car tactics, arrogance of the management ("there are very few rav4 with 3rd row seats, and we buy all of them. Not that it influences our prices...", then pulling incomplete data to make me think they give the best deal in town after I told them I had found 2 equivalent cars at $1,500 less - that's basically telling your potential customer he is a liar and they know better). This was such a big waste of time at every stage, especially since they take pleasure to make you wait forever every step of the way. By the way, on one the 2 cars I tried there the exhaust felt off the car after a few hundred feet, I thought I was sudenly driving an airplane, and they were still trying to push that car to me!. Immediate result: by the time I left for the 2nd time I promised myself I wouldn't buy there even if it meant not buying a car for a while. End result: a few days later I bought a car better than what they offered for about 12% less. As one of their managers said: "if you can get such a great deal, we don't deserve your business". At least I agree with them on one thing! More

Toney and Suheil were both very compassionate and never made me feel bad due to my credit situation. I explained everything to Toney up front, and he found something I could afford that would give me reliable transportation for work. He brought my application to Suheil who was able to finally get something approved. They made me feel that I was as important as someone who was spending three times as much, and they never made me feel bad about my situation. I will always be very grateful to both of them, but especially to Toney for his compassion and understanding. Joe in the service department was also very helpful and understanding, but I don't have his last name. More

If I were to describe the sales service we received, I would say it was slow but overall I was happy. However, when a new van blows a tire in the first month or two for no explained reason and Koon's and would say it was slow but overall I was happy. However, when a new van blows a tire in the first month or two for no explained reason and Koon's and Toyota's response is that they didn't sell us the tire, they only sold us the car and it was essentially tough luck for us, you can bet that the $300 tire fix cost them a whole lot more than that when it comes to future purchases. So, my suggestion to everyone out there is that if you want a dealer who stands behind their product, stay far away from Koons Tysons Toyota. More
On March 27, 2013 we drove from Charlottesville Va to Koons to purchase a new Rav4. We had worked with Davaa "George" over the phone on the Rav4 that we found on line(excellent price) George was very fri Koons to purchase a new Rav4. We had worked with Davaa "George" over the phone on the Rav4 that we found on line(excellent price) George was very friendly & knowledgeable about the product. We were able to work out all the details over the phone which made the purchase very easy when we got there. When we arrived on the lot George immediately took us to the vehicle demonstrated and explained everything about the car to us. He was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the car (far different than most of the other sales people we talked to). He was very whitty and made us feel comfortable right away. In no way did we feel pressured to purchase options that we did not want. We would definately return to Koons to purchase another car from George. Thank you for a wonderful experience. More
