I called three times without getting through to a human. Then got in contact with Chris L. who said he would figure it all out and get back to me. He didnt. I then had to call him back which is then when he claimed to have FedEx'd the paperwork but that he didnt have the tracking number. Promised it would arrive on the next Monday, which of course it didnt. I am wondering if this is even legal?! And to add insult to injury, I was called three times in 20 minutes by the sales rep who complained to me about her "low" rating on the survey. Blarderline harrassment is what it felt like. Told me I was jepordizong her job and pleaded and pleaded for me to re-do the survey or at minimum call her manager to "fix" her score. I have worked so hard to finally afford a new car and now I just feel like an idiot. Totally treated poorly. Maybe it's my fault for being trusting. More

When it arrived, it was covered in snow!!! Who does that!? Some employees were friendly...most ignored us. An awful experience. Choose another dealership. We also left without the vehicle. These people are not in the business of selling cars. Phil, Sales Manager is rude and condescending. He treated us as if We Needed to be there and we are not the consumer. He literally met with us for 2 min, attwattemp to get us to finance through them. After we refused, he said..."I think it's best is we part ways.". Are they selling cars or not? Were solicited no less than 5 times to finance through them. We came to the dealership with a check not a request. These people are in the business of minipulating customers and trying to force them to finance through them. Unacceptable!!! More
Awful service This dealership provides some of the worst service that I have ever encountered. They act like they do not care about the vehicle or the customer. After a horrible experience HEADLINE: Unless you enjoy seriously dehumanizing experiences, look elsewhere. What a massive pain Koons proved to be. After a horrible experience at another dealership on Saturday (12/29/18), I had high hopes for Koons. I was dead wrong. They had the car that we wanted at the right price, so we called, confirmed with a sales associate (Stacey) that it was available, and went to see it. Upon announcing that this would be a cash transaction, Stacey expressed displeasure that she wouldn't receive a kickback for selling financing. I made it abundantly clear that I would not be financing, but would pay cash. I left a personal check to hold the car for a few days while I moved funds around, and it was agreed that I would return on 1/2/19 (four days later) with a cashier's check for the remaining balance. Sounds great, right? Nope. On the morning of 12/31 (Monday...two days before we agreed that I would return), Stacey called back and said that I should come on down, not to bring anything with me and that I'd take the car home, and return with the remaining balance later in the week. When I arrived, it quickly became clear that something wasn't quite right. Now, I'd be writing a check for $6k as a deposit, then paying the rest by cashier's check after the new year. Good thing I brought my checkbook even though I was told to bring nothing with me, right? After an hour, I'm approached by Alan, the finance manager. He introduced himself and then said that he needed to clarify why I was there and what I was hoping to accomplish. Last I checked, most people go to a car dealer to buy a car, and I said that. He then explained that he wanted to help me "rebuild" my credit (my credit isn't great, but I certainly have zero interest in financing when I have the cash on hand). I stopped him, told him that I wasn't financing and that I didn't want to discuss it again. He KEPT pushing financing, I told him that things were going south in a hurry, and he stormed out. So, I told Stacey that I was going to leave. She begged me to chat with a manager and assured me that she'd get someone else from finance. After speaking with a manager (Trey - not sure about the spelling), I agreed to stay but told them that time was running out - they were super close to losing what should have been an easy sale. 20 minutes after that, Trey told me that "99%" of the paperwork was done. At that point, I left. They took an easy sale and blew it because of pushy tactics to discourage a cash transaction. And now for the fun part: Hours later, while in the comfort of my living room, an unknown number called. It was Stacey's husband - also a sales associate - who tried desperately to salvage the sale for his wife. When I told him that I had absolutely nothing to discuss, he explained that they are commission-based (no kidding!), that they spend time away from their families to work, and that it is really unfair to have a deal fall through at the last minute. He also acknowledged that being the last day of the year, they REALLY needed to make that sale...essentially saying that I had no respect for their time. In reality, they had zero respect for my time, nor for my wish to pay cash. Well, Koons, if you all weren't so eager to push financing for someone who wants to pay cash (why on God's green earth would one finance if they don't have to?) and could have left things the way they were, they would have easily won my business and probably would have had a repeat customer. Other concerning items: 1) Stacey asked my better half to email insurance information to her PERSONAL email account. It struck me as odd, but didn't really concern me until seeing the rest of their tactics...seems fishy at worst; unprofessional at best. 2) My full social security number was read aloud in front of other customers with no effort to be discreet. 3) My current credit score was read aloud on three separate occasions in front of other customers with no effort to be discreet. 4) When Terry (Stacey's husband) called to try to salvage the sale, he dropped the F-bomb (I had the phone on speaker so that my other half could participate in this nonsense). Now, I don't have virgin ears, but the 7-year-old in this house does...and he repeats what he hears. More
Koon's Price Guarantee is truly a WOW experience ! Received an alert on a used Genesis Coupe from Koon's and couldn't believe the price. My son had saved for years and this was exactly what he was looking for and could afford. Chris Lamb our salesman sent over our WOW price guarantee and we were set. To all of our surprise the car had not even been in the service center yet so the listed price was below the cars value. Instead of trying to explain why adjust the price, Chris and Koon's held to their word and made a 16 year old first time car buyer a very proud young man. The WOW Price truly is that and Koon's stands by their word to make the buying experience easy and hassle free. Chris Lamb was great to work with and kept us informed every step of the way, taking care of all of the details. More
Worst Car buying Experience Ever I bought a new car from Koons. To start of they didn’t offer us anything to drink or eat for the Seven and a half hour car buying experience. Yes that I bought a new car from Koons. To start of they didn’t offer us anything to drink or eat for the Seven and a half hour car buying experience. Yes that’s how long it took, after signing the papers saying we will buy the vehicle it took 3 hours until someone came to tak to us from finance. Meantime we had to ask for water 3 times and still didn’t get any! Finally after leaving the dealership with the new car the dealership called saying they misplaced my down payment check. They said I would have to bring the vehicle back or over night them a check! Which I was not going to do until I know what happen to my other check! Then they texted me the following morning saying they had found it! WHAT A JOKE! And now a month and a half into owning this vehicle I still did not get any touch up paint which I was promised I’ll get the following week. I am more than unhappy with the dishonesty and promises I have got from this dealership! More

The sales manager says not everyone looks that sharp while buying a car. It might be just a car for some but for me it was dream. I had to buy it because i wanted that car so bad. Salesmen have no right to put customers through this trauma and spoil the dreams of a young graduate.. More
Disappointing! On June 25, 2018, I purchased a used car from Koons of Tysons Corner. The car had passed Virginia inspection. However, because I am a Maryland resid On June 25, 2018, I purchased a used car from Koons of Tysons Corner. The car had passed Virginia inspection. However, because I am a Maryland resident, the car had to pass Maryland inspection. On July 2, 2018, the car failed Maryland inspection due to a severely leaking front left strut. I was able to see the severity of the leak myself while the car was up on the lift at the inspection station. The struts on this car are extremely expensive because the car has adaptive suspension, with various settings, e.g. “sport”, “comfort,” etc. I was also advised that when one front strut is bad, you should always replace both, otherwise the car will ride and perform unevenly. The repair cost for this was $2,474. Of course, I advised Koons of the situation immediately. However, Koons declined to cover all or any part of this cost, advising me that its only obligation was to provide a vehicle that had passed Virginia inspection. What was I supposed to do? I had already purchased the car and needed to pass Maryland inspection. I was forced to do the repair. Consequently, I ended up paying an additional $2474 over and above the purchase price. If I had initially wanted to pay $2474 more for a car I could have purchased the same make, but a newer model year, or purchased the same make, model and year, but with significantly less mileage. How could this be allowed to happen?? I saw with my own eyes how bad the leak was. Why didn’t Koons’ Virginia inspection disclose this problem?? If it had, the repair costs would have been borne by Koons. That’s what should have happened. Why didn’t it?? Does the inspector get so much business from Koons that, in order to further the mutually beneficial business relationship, it does not submit Koons’ vehicles to a very meticulous or rigorous inspection process? I don’t know the answer to that question. However, I do know that the badly leaking strut should have been noted by the Virginia inspector and remedied by Koons before I bought the car. In any event, after Koons was made aware of the problem it could have and should have stepped up and taken care of it. Yes, that probably would have meant foregoing any profit on the sale. But Koons chose to be penny-wise and pound foolish, preserving the profit on this one sale, but at what cost to their reputation? How many future sales might be lost? I can tell you that it is highly unlikely that anyone in my extended family will ever purchase a car from any Koons dealership. BOTTOM LINE WARNING: If you are a DC or Maryland resident, before you purchase a car from Koons Tysons or any other Koons dealership located outside your state of residence, you would be well-advised to have your own pre-purchase inspection performed by a reputable mechanic. Otherwise, you may be caught in the same situation that I was caught in. More
