On 6/22/2020 I had intentions on purchasing a brand new 2019 Dodge Charger with no miles at Koons Auto Sale at Tysons Corner Jeep Chrysler Dodge. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Marc Tranen who was 2019 Dodge Charger with no miles at Koons Auto Sale at Tysons Corner Jeep Chrysler Dodge. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Marc Tranen who was the sales associate. We test drove the vehicle and during this time he asked me if I'd be using my bank or would I need financing. I explained to Marc that I'd already had bank financing with a pre-approved loan. He then asked me who I banked with, and I told him Navy Federal Credit Union. We drove back to the dealership and he began to draw up the paperwork necessary to make the deal/purchase. When he came back with the paper, he began to explain that his financing option gave a more competitive interest rate that he'd be able to match and that if he could run my credit to do so. I explained to Marc that I didn't want my credit ran again due to the fact that every time a hard inquiry hits your credit, it drops your credit score. I'd already had my credit ran several times prior and I was satisfied with the rate my bank had given me. He then went on to explain that it was policy that they ran my credit score and that it was required that I do so, or there would be no purchase. I ask him if I could speak to the finance manager in reference to his claim. He then brought Patrick Sullivan who is the finance manager over. Patrick then explained that due to theft that it was required that I have me credit ran, basically making a false claim that I might be presenting them with a fake check. They never presented anything in writing regarding this policy while accusing me of possibly presenting a fake check which they never asked to see. I then told Patrick to give me the keys back to my vehicle in which I'd intended on trading and that I was felt insulted. I did not want to do any further business with them due to their accusations. I did call Marc to let him know that I would be filing a complaint and that I would be taking further actions. This not how customers should be treated. I did speak to someone in customer relations, who said that they would send me something in writing about their policy of all customers requiring a credit check due to fraud, but it was never presented or sent to me. Marc and Patrick should have explained before we began the purchasing process of any polices, along with them being presented in writing. I should not have gotten to the end of the deal and then notified of something that I had no idea I had to respond to. Furthermore, no employee should never make false claims of fraudulent activity toward customers unless they have proof of such acts. Any fraudulent history that they've experienced had nothing to do with me. More

Stay away from this establishment. Nothing but disrespect, lie and racism!! The disrespect this individual has shown can be severe to your place of business and I can not let this situation be un disrespect, lie and racism!! I have looked at previous reviews on this dealership after this experience and can see there needs to be a change in management or a training opportunity. BEWARE SELLERS! Be careful in dealing with this dealership if you sell your car to them. On top of offering a low price, they also did not pay the loan off like they were supposed to. They paid less to the loan company but still charged us the real amount in financing. Because of this our credit score has now gone down almost 100 points because of either carelessness and borderline fraudulent activity. Only giving one star because I can’t do 0. Called the customer service manager, Puckett, after they asked and left a message over 6 months ago only to never hear back. Yesterday they had the nerve to call me an ask me to bring my Jeep in for service so they can make more money off me and this happens to be right after buying a new car a few weeks ago and having to pay more in interest due to their mistake that has yet to be corrected by anyone. I had been looking for a RAM 1500 with the eco diesel and when I found one online at KOONS I called immediately. I figured Memorial Day weekend would be the best time to buy a used truck so on Friday I began when I found one online at KOONS I called immediately. I figured Memorial Day weekend would be the best time to buy a used truck so on Friday I began the process with the dealership via email, text and phone. Adam, internet sales, paired me with product specialists Brian Hillerich who acted like he was to busy to try and sell me the truck. I decided not to work with him and called again Saturday morning to try and work with someone else. I began again to speak with Adam and go over the numbers. I let him know what I was willing to put down and that I had already gone through the preapproval process. That evening around 6:45 pm I called to let them know that I was coming first thing Sunday morning to buy the truck. I was told that they would put me on their schedule and place the truck aside so I could see it in person when I got there. Keep in mind that I live about 2 hours away from KOONS and this is something that I told them many times. Sunday morning I drove all the way there and arrived around 9:30am. When I get there the salesman that I was paired with walked over to me and informed me that the truck was sold the previous night and that they were “sorry”. They couldn’t even give me a courtesy call, text or email to let me know that they sold the truck. What a waste of time. Don’t believe the commercials people. KOONS is no different then any other dealership. The dollar is all they care about. I will never go there again and I will ensure to let everyone I know not to invest their time or their money with KOONS! Thanks for nothing. More

Worst used car experience I've had I just want to start by saying if I could post negative stars I would! I purchased a 17' Mustang GT from Koons April 17 and had the car shipped to me I just want to start by saying if I could post negative stars I would! I purchased a 17' Mustang GT from Koons April 17 and had the car shipped to me in Indiana. If you want to work with a dealership who tries to hide everything possible from you and do subpar work especially if you are trying to buy without seeing the vehicle then please work with Koons! When the car arrived there were more dents and scratches than anything revealed during the buying process. They were also supposed to replace and repaint the front bumper and the quality was horrible, messy paint lines and not fully buffed out. The front fog lamps and turn signals were also not connected after reinstalling the bumper. The rear window was also completely covered in glue from prior window tint that was removed in addition to the rear defroster being cut in multiple places from the hack job of taking the old tint off so that also doesn't work. Clearly they don't much care for how their cars leave their lots! So what should have been a smooth process has become one headache after another and they are horrible at returning calls or even pretending to care about your concerns. I've now had to hook up turn signals and fog lights just to have everything function. Also pay extra to have new window tint put in properly and still won't have a working rear defroster... And to top it off I will have to pay to have the bumper repainted properly to make it look remotely presentable. Granted it was a used car, but they did nothing to try and put their best foot forward with this deal!! Good luck if you use them, I know I won't be ever again! More
Dishonest service department I have had an on going issue with my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I took it to Koons Jeep in Mclean VA, 5 times under warranty for the same problem. Before the warranty expired, I spoke with my tech again about the issue. I was concerned the warranty would expire and the problem would not be fixed. He assured me they would address the problem free of charge after the warranty expired as it was a preexisting issue. The warranty expired and now they refuse to look at it. Rod Gautier, the service director, told me they had spent enough time and money working on the problem and no longer want to deal with it. Rod, pawned me off to Chrysler customer service. It has been difficult to get any straight answers to this point. More

First, made me wait 3 hours in a messy waiting area for a finance person to finally come &do a 2 ? Interview. Came back & hour & a half later and offered rates at twice what other dealers & adds said At a time when rates are great.. Until I threatened to leave (they pulled the old let me talk to mgr - took 3 trips of 20 minutes each). Finally came back at half of original rate, still not great compared to most. Went further downhill since purchase. I asked no less than 5 times (during finance/purchase) if they were capable & experienced in selling & doing tags out of state of VA. All said yes, we do it all the time. Reality is they are not or just totally incompetent. I have owned car over 30 days (temp tag expired), no contacts, so I starting contacting them. Finally hear from sales guy, that tag people need me to pay personally in my state. So finance person was just awful to deal with, along with bad finance, they lied about extra costs and that they know how to do out of state. Also they had told me I couldn’t do a tag transfer on a new car. - also a lie Ive learned. So I’m at over 37 days, Jeep is sitting since it’s not legally driveavble, and still no contact or follow up - after I had to go & do local payment. I recontact & they are now blaming the state & the virus issues. This is not a place to do business, great inventory, but horrible environment, and finance & service follow through have been absolute incompetence. Avoid at all costs, plenty of better dealers out there, I have 3 other Jeeps & never had the problems. More
