Took in my Chevy Tracker in late October for a repair under extended warranty -- the engine threw a rod and punctured the engine block. One dalay after another--wait for the adjuster or find something e under extended warranty -- the engine threw a rod and punctured the engine block. One dalay after another--wait for the adjuster or find something else that they should have planned on fixing to begin with and then wait for parts--I get the car back after eight weeks. The service writer kept saying the warranty would pay for a rental, and the boneheads at the warranty service center kept telling me to deal with the service guy are my conduit to them. Now, GM Protection Plan only wants to pay for eight days of rental, and the dealership is denying any culpability. More
I purchased a 2006 Trailblazer through the dealership. At the final purchase, I was charged for Gap Coverage and was told that they would also pay the deductable if anything should happen. I read the fin At the final purchase, I was charged for Gap Coverage and was told that they would also pay the deductable if anything should happen. I read the fine print and it explicitly said otherwise. I also bought the paint and dent coverage at that time. Since then (approx. 4 months) I had to return for service and I was told that the paint and dent coverage was only for manufacturer defects and did not cover anything else. Both of these show a total lack of knowledge on their part. A defective battery had to be replaced as it was leaking. The engine compartment was not cleaned and as a result the power steering lines were corroded and rusted. I was told these will not be replaced even though the battery was defective. Through all this, I have been to the dealership 5 times (of which 3 were a waste because when I showed up at the "scheduled" time, I was told to come back because I wasn't on the schedule. I would never recommend them to anyone. More
It was a nightmare, I dropped my car off and they didn't even call me to let me know they was not doing work on it so I would have to drop it off the next day. I had to find my own ride to and from work to even call me to let me know they was not doing work on it so I would have to drop it off the next day. I had to find my own ride to and from work to the dealship. I would never go back, lets see if they actually fix my car since they said they didn't know what the noise was!! More
My husband and I purchased a new 2004 GMC Envoy from this location in May of 2004. The closing took well over 5 hours to complete which should have told us something at that point. Not having driven the Envo location in May of 2004. The closing took well over 5 hours to complete which should have told us something at that point. Not having driven the Envoy more then 500 or so miles it stales as I am driving it. We have to have it towed into Koons. They gave us a little attitude when we asked for a car to borrow while ours was beinig worked on. After we got our car back it again started having problems not more then 300 miles later. Again we had to take the car back and again they gave us a problem when we asked for a car to drive..I was 9 months pregnant at the time which is the only reason they gave us the car to use in my opinon. We got the car back but they had not fixed the problem. Again we had to take the car back and they said they will fix it but we can only borrow a car for two days and if it takes them longer to fix the car then we will have to pay for a rental..the brand new Envoy had less then 1000 miles on it..at that point I had driven rental cars more then the car I had just bought! We tried to complain to management about the very very poor workmanship and attitude of the service dept. They would not listen to anything we had to say and I also have to say the management of this location is nasty to their customers and unwilling to make right a bad situation from the beginning. After a few months of going back and forth with the dealership and them saying that they looked at everything on the car and nothing was wrong we took it to another dealer in Leesburg and they found that we had a defective fan clutch and they fixed it in one day. What the dealer in Tysons took months to look at and swore it was our imagination it took the dealer in Leesburg one day to diagnose and fix. I ran into another Envoy owner in a parking lot of Giant and he asked how I liked my Envoy..it turns out he was having problems with his new Envoy and he was having almost the same problems as we were with this very same dealership!! Hard to imagine but we have had other problems with this dealership so much so that we are only going to the Leesburg to have our car worked on when needed which is out of the way for us but well worth the time and energy to get our car fixed and have friendly people to work with. I can say I would never go to the Tysons Koons Pontiac GMC dealership again and I do not recommend this place to anyone else. More
After 5 months of searching, this weekend we cam across a good deal for a 1998 vert will all the options that we wanted (6spd, HUD, ect). I contacted one of the salesmen and he send me an email with there in good deal for a 1998 vert will all the options that we wanted (6spd, HUD, ect). I contacted one of the salesmen and he send me an email with there internet price. I talked with the salesman over the phone, checked the carfax, agreed on shipping through the dealer and agreed to buy the car at the advertised price. He said he would call me back to set up financing, when 5 minutes later the sales manager called back and said that the price is now $2000 higher then what was agreed because they have been getting so much interest in the car. I argued with the sales manger for 5 minutes and then he hung up on me. I have been treated bad by car dealers before but I have never had one try to blatantly jack up the price $2000! More
